Captain Jack Sparrow teaching his Pirate Tutorial in Adventureland with a great deal of enthusiasm.
Last weekend Ed, Darlene and myself did a photo shoot of Cap'n Jack Sparrow on location at the lake. Mike was our Jack impersonator, Pam, his wife, was makeup and wardrobe. The props wardrobe and makeup were awesome! Darlene's husband Cal, played the part of both chauffeur and security! Thanks Cal! Strobist info: Alien Bee camera left @ 1/2 power.
I love nature, and the little birds that are singing in the early morning...
When I wake up, I always listen for a while...a good start of the day...

Pirates of the Caribbean final ride scene in Disney's Magic Kingdom.
Captain Jack Sparrow is a fictional character and the main protagonist of the Pirates of the Caribbean film series created by screenwriters Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio, portrayed by Johnny Depp. He is first introduced in the film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003). He later appears in the sequels Dead Man's Chest (2006), At World's End (2007), and On Stranger Tides (2011). Jack Sparrow was originally conceived as a supporting character. He was brought to life by the actor Johnny Depp, who based his characterization on The Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards and cartoon character Pepé Le Pew. He tends to become rather frustrated whenever someone pronounces his name without the term "Captain".
This figure just does not cease to blow my mind. The realism and detail are absolutely stunning. I also love that the clothing pretty much hides joints, adding to the realism. Just absolutely love this guy.
Jack Sparrow had been on both ends of the plank - after all, he was a pirate - but this time he felt like he was in a different galaxy far, far away.

"The Adventuress is a 133-foot gaff-rigged schooner. Built at the Rice Brother’s Boatyard, in East Boothbay, Maine as a private yacht, the ship was launched in 1913. Her owner, John Borden II, the founder of Chicago’s Yellow Cab Co. sailed The Adventuress from Maine, around the tip of South America, and north to the Arctic. Borden intended to sail to Alaska to catch a bowhead whale for the American Museum of Natural History in New York. Borden's efforts to catch a whale failed and he sold Adventuress to the San Francisco Bar Pilots Association, which marked the beginning of her career as a workboat. For 35 years, she transferred pilots to and from cargo vessels near the Farallone Islands. During World War II, she was a United States Coast Guard vessel, guarding San Francisco Bay"
Around 1952, Adventuress was brought to Seattle, where she went through several owners. Eventually, she wound up in the care of Monty Morton and Ernestine Bennett, who managed a non-profit sail training organization called Youth Adventures. Under their ownership, the boat was restored to most of her original lines.
Today Adventuress is operated by the non-profit organization Sound Experience, as a platform for environmental education about Puget Sound."
Yesterday June 9th was Johnny Depp's 50th birthday! and he's still looking good! ;P
Johnny wished she could have said Happy Birthday to him in person. *sigh*
Then she thought to herself, wait!!! "All I have to do is dream"
Johnny loves pirates!
Sunset on the Caribbean Island of Barbados in the West Indies.
The rigging of an old schooner provides the dramatic silhouette as the sounds of "Pirates" rings out around the Harbour front....................
That`s right, the cinema is showing Johnny Depp as the Pirate, Jack Sparrow, in the new "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie !
Or a pirate working at ARRRRRRRGOS!

"No worries! Tia Dalma and I go way back... thick as thieves, nigh inseparable we are... were... have been... before..."

See the whole diorama here.
I've always loved Tia Dalma's shack from Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. It was no doubt inspired by the shacks seen on the classic Disneyland attraction in California. Wooden shacks on the bayou were always cool to me, so I just had to make this scene sooner or later.
I was also greatly inspired by _Matn's version of this scene. When I saw his depiction I knew this would be a fun scene to build. It was one of the many cool things from the film.

Come over here
All you got is this moment
The twenty-first century’s yesterday
You can care all you want
Everybody does yeah that’s okay
So slide over here
And give me a moment
Your moves are so raw
I’ve got to let you know
I’ve got to let you know
You’re one of my kind
I need you tonight
’cause I’m not sleeping
There’s something about you girl
That makes me sweat
How do you feel
I’m lonely
What do you think
Can’t take it all
Whatcha gonna do
Gonna live my life
(I need you tonight- INXS)
