She did so well in the movie, "The Shining", when I did Jack years ago I didn't appreciate her as I do now.
So, even though I have (literally) not drawn a thing in many years, I was compelled to at least 'try'.
This was a mistake in the making... :)
This is a HYBRID drawing/painting!
Done in black and white colored pencils, then I photographed it to make it digital, (no scanner) and it looked so bad that it took me 3 times as long to get it 'better' in Photoshop.
EDIT
I just learned that you can use alcohol to make it look smoother, sure enough, after 5 drinks, it did look more smooth!
Really, using alcohol does really make it blend better, had I known I might have been able to make this look better with Photoshop.
I have not drawn a thing in at least 15-20 years, I don't know the last time, really. I didn't know where my 'stuff' was either, I couldn't find my good paper. So, I opted to use Watercolor Cold-press for that, It was a huge mistake, I thought that I could work through it and fix it later, but, it was not so easy.

This is the result of a bad decision and having to BLUR and SMUDGE out a LOT of the grainy textures of that CANVAS paper.
I learned a lesson, I thought I was smart enough, but it's not so! :)
I'd have been better off to just start over rather than taking the many, many hours I took trying to make it look halfway decent.

I was on visit at the west coast town Esbjerg for a man that had been working in the harbour there. And this beauty af Jack up oildrilling rig was there, Mærks Highlander. Now standing quietly on it's "legs" filled of mussels and keyhole limpets, wind blown and affected of the harsh conditions of the North Sea.

Meet Jacked Rabbit. He, among others, is a recent acquaintance Crazy Horsehead Man. A mere human, at one point, who was lucky enough to meet with the Orb-acle. During the encounter the man was rash and hasty which angered The Orb-acle who in anger rained down fire turning him into a genetic freak rabbit man. "Consider this a favor, you impatient fool!" echoed through the hills as Jacked Rabbit ran for his life....

A Jack goes to pot in Chamberlin on ex-Milwaukee Road real estate, Dakota Southern. One can only wonder if this once celebrated “Centennial” – DDA40X 6925 – will ever be restored, or simply saved from her agonizing demise of slowly-but-surely oxidizing into the central South Dakota color-rust earth. Aside from serving as an eight-thousand gallon fuel bunker, having been plundered of her dynamic braking apparatus, and otherwise donor of homogeneous EMD parts, the near 100-foot-long, head-hanging sixty-six-hundred horse dreadnaught, shamefully moored along the shores of the mighty Mo nowhere near the open seas of amber waves of wheat and sand she once plied, still appears ripe for resurrection. Hopefully, her owner will consider her historical significance and act, for posterity’s sake, soon. (© 28Aug18)
