It must be a little daunting reimagining the Graceland album by Paul Simon but Bwani Junction pulled it off with confidence at Best of the West Festival today. Led throughout by drummer Jack Fotheringham who captured the broad-ranging rhythms of the album.

With little of value except his word, Jack had set off for America to find his fortune and fame. But only on this ship would he find his destiny.
Rose had everything any girl would want, except the three things she needed most, Love, passion, and trust. This young Jack was full of wonderful surprises
When she changed the wording on her sign from "pumpkins" to "jack-o-lanterns," business really took off!

This week’s 52F assignment is titled "Leading Lines." I decided to visit the grocery store, where I attached my camera to a shopping cart and used an ND filter to capture some long-exposure shots. I found that the combination of Jack's pizza and Diet Coke provided a unique twist on the classic drink, Jack and Coke.

Jack has been born on the planet Ryloth where he lived with his father Ben and his mom Jaila.
They lived on Ryloth with the Twi‘lek even if they weren’t the same race.
Around 21BBY, his father died when the droid army arrived and started to enslave the inhabitants.
Jack and his mother were able to flee, and they started living on a planet somewhere far, far away from the war.
19BBY, Jack received a message from one of his friend that lives on Selucemai.
He told Jack that the Clone Wars are over, but saw how clones killed their Jedi friends, and also mentioned that they started acting weird.
There is a new power, which arose from the ruins of the republic, called the empire.
They’re bad he said, they seize ships for no reasons, and it’s getting harder and harder to travel to other planets, some you now need imperial credits.
Jack knew, that’s what he heard sounded most likely the empire tries to get the control of all planets and don’t care about humans live like the Republic did.
He decided to join a group of rebels, which had the idea of starting a big rebellion against the empire to defeat it.
He left his mom and the few other inhabitants to start fighting before the empire will have the control of everything
Barbara was not an aeronautical engineer. But that didn't keep her from admiring the sleek, rigid power contained within Jack's formidable projectile. Once she got an eyeful of his superior design, she knew it would be blast off for her in no time.
My step-grandson, he's a budding musician, which could mean this photo will be worth thousands of pounds in 2 years time! (or not a lot.......depending).
Just playing with the 50mm f/1.4G in natural light.

Whilst I've seen jack snipe before I've never captured a good photo. In the past couple of weeks I've managed to find a couple of jack snipe using my thermal camera but finding them without the thermal and then photographing them has proved to still be challenging. That changed today though when I was able to pick one up, find it and then photograph it :D
The jacks on Pulau Sebayur Besar formed some interesting shapes. You could swim right through them and they'd hardly move.

For the amateur detectives. It was 2020 (the year of Covid), the pub was shuttered. One night in September of that year there was a fire. The police suspected arson. Planning permission has just been given for a small apartment block, overriding many local objections. Nothing to see here? OK, move on...

Private Jack Dunn, Wellington Battalion (bare-headed, lower left), hears his death sentence read out in front of his unit, Quinn’s Post, 18 July 1915.* Dunn had been on the peninsula since the landing on 25 April 1915. He had only recently returned from hospital after contracting dysentery. In mid-July, after having earlier reported sick, Dunn fell asleep on sentry duty. He was court martialled and sentenced to death for endangering the safety of his unit. General Sir Ian Hamilton rescinded his sentence on 5 August 1915. Three days later, Dunn died on Chunuk Bair.
