Winnow: Hi guys! I'm Zeek's big sissy. :)
Yay! Winnow arrived a little while ago, she's made by the fabulous Kit Lane.
Dimple the weeny Jacabunny moved here today!!
Here is what her creator Kit Lane said about her:
"This tiny young Jacabunny enjoys quiet leisurely mornings with a good book, the warm glow of a computer monitor, a nice cup of hot chocolate accompanied by pikelettes and jam, and squidgee squeezles.
Dimple is only 2.2 inches tall, short actually. She has a cute little mini-button nose and wears her aqua blue heart on her chest. A lovely sheep down the lane named Bernice donated the earthy ogre green wool for her body. Her face however is made of light aqua teal wool from Clara the sheep who bunks with Bernice. Dimple is made by the needle felting method which means poking and poking a lump of wool with a very sharp barbed needle while wearing a full gauntlet until her form appears. This has made her quite brave and courageous in the face of adversity although her tiny stature might indicate otherwise.
She adores squirrels and plays well with other Jacabunnies and Jacabobs alike :o)
She's not fond of kitties. Nor they, her."
I'm so in love with her that I think she will get more Kit Lane toys living with her ... sooner or later!
Newbie, proby (short for probational agent) - whatever way you look at it, Lumly is the newer of the two, and Porfy's newest job is to fill Lumly in on all the how-to's and details of life locally :)
Grapenut the Jacabob stows away. Funny how he always seems to show up right around the time the sausages arrive.
The Princess and the woodland fluffs quickly become the bestest of friends over a meal of blueberries (which Rhinehart almost enjoys this time) and singing (Sheldon's trumpetting finally dislodging the blueberry up his trunk... which accidently brings down a bluebird... which Rhinehart likes even more than the blueberries!)
"Yay! Let's all sing the Fluffy Wuffy Singing Song again!" squeaks an overexcited Elron.
There was a kafuffle at the far end of the garden in the early morning hours, about the time when the cows usually come home. Bernice and Evelyn the sheep gave a bleat as they were awoken from a warm wooly snooze by a kerplunk and a fizzle. A glowing orb plopped to the ground nearby. The ball squeeked open and out wandered this wee creature of questionable DNA. The creature appeared to be quite like the Jacabobs from the woods down the lane both in features and disposition but the green ball topped antennas said otherwise. Return of an ancient astronaut?
Like Jacabobs this alien enjoys dewy fresh mornings, a nice cup of tea accompanied by a wee smidgeon of jam on a muffin. Unlike Jacabobs, the alien would like the muffin to be quickly followed by a full english breakfast to include grilled mushrooms and pork chops.
She hates kitties for obvious reasons but plays well with Jacabunnies, Feezles and Nurblettes :o)
They realised quite soon that it was better be off before the owner of these devices comes back...
Dark gray one is Ooiglet the Jacabunny. Pink cutie one is Little fool named April. She is Ursabunny. She is so pretty, even prettier on the inside, said her creator Kit.
Brown one is called Dimple, she is the weeny Jacabunny.
Toy tuesday and thursday: Letter J : JACABUNNY!!!, Jacabobs...
These little cuties are made by wonderful Kit Lane.
He came quietly to the end of his days, slipped his mortal coil. That should have been the end of it then.
He spent a good long life summer foraging, snacking whatever minkies snack, hibernating through Minnesotas long harrowing winters in a white fur coat surrounded by his snuggling wives. Once he was nearly swept away in a raging flood of the creek that runs by the wood at the end of the garden. All in all for a mink, he did alright for himself. That should have been the end of it then.
One day his bones were snatched up from the reverent soft earth where they lay peacefully in the elements, and came to to reside on an unaturally dark dusty shelf at the local taxidermists back office morgue. But I saw him. That should have been the end of it then.
The dermist charged me all that was in my grubby little pocket at the time but it seemed worth it to recover the poor chap from the gloomy morgue and a dusty destiny. I took him home and cleaned him up, even performed a bit of dentistry hopefully giving him back a bit of his minkie dignity. For most, it would have been the end of it then.
I created his eyes from glass and polymer and needle felted him a wooly covering for his cold hard skull. (something he lacked in his former life) I settled him in with the Jacabobs who welcomed him, odd as he was, with open arms and hearts. That should have been the end of it. But then you saw him.

By Kit Lane of what might have been the perspective of a famous baby about 2000 years ago.
The models for this painting are Bernice, Evelynn and Clarice whom some of you may recall as the lovely sheep who live down the lane and the source of all Jacabobs*.

"I was told I would see a portal that shown like the moon and if I put my ear just right could hear the ocean...."
For the most part, life is in the woods past the end of the garden is a dogma and ritual free zone. But there is one holiday the Jacabobs and creatures insist on celebrating. Its named after the most illustrious and mythic Spamberly of whom are handed down many lore and Jacabob fables. Ages ago several Jacabobs and pals went out in the wide wide world never to return. Jeeb, Minka, Smideon and Dollop are often the subject of great tales orated to the gaggles of Bobaloos at gatherings and whispered to the little ones as they drift off to dreams of Spamberly-land.
So Happy Spamberly Day from my creatures to yours! www.flickr.com/photos/spamberly/2290671709/in/set-7215760...
