“There’s something about an anatomically correct rubber suit that puts fire in a girl’s lips.” Poison Ivy
I've only just discovered this variegated Ivy growing in the grounds outside my flat and I just had to pick a piece to photograph. I expect I'll be able to propagate it in a tub on my patio.
For the SoS group: "portray the name of a music band"
This was such a difficult challenge, and had me scratching my head! To find a band I listen to and whose music I have collected ... with a name that I could create an image for! I finally decided on a group I first heard in the 1990s, and although they have broken up I still enjoy their gentle, thoughtful lyrics and music. And I have a whole lot of ivy in pots and in the garden too 😊

Ivy symbolizes fidelity (it won’t easily let go of something it’s attached itself to) and eternal life (because the plant is evergreen).
I plant this ivy outside into summer planters and move it inside into a basement window over the winter. I have kept this going, in this manner, for about three years.
We have been gone all summer. This little plant has survived a very hot summer! It brings joy!!!
Common starling (Sturnus vulgaris) male perched on an english ivy (Hedera helix) and picking its berries.
Samiec szpaka (Sturnus vulgaris) siedzący na bluszczu pospolitym (Hedera helix) i zrywający jego jagody.
In my photostream I keep switching from high summer to cold winter, mainly because last week's snow was a feast for Flemish photographers!
These ivy leaves were partly covered in snow.
