This whole cluster was under a centimeter wide...

This is my little friend.

He's my favorite.

He's been hanging out with PC a little...can you tell?

This is the entirely orange one. He loves people and he loves to curl up and sleep under a chin.

Everyone is growing! They're all scooting around and getting closer to hopping out of the box they're in every day.

Here is the smallest calf to the season so far. He is from a part Belgian Blue Angus cross heifer. He's from a black angus bull. He's a week old here and weighed about 35lbs when he was born. What a cutie!

Because my company is so casual during the week, we rock the nicer clothes on Fridays. Formal Friday, folks. The platypus wore his fancy spiked collar.

Need to find an ittybitty top hat for him.

And a monocle.

And a cane.

He was less than 24 hours old. I'm bummed my focus was not so great...

Ah, the Itty Bitty d'Lish All-In-One nappy (size medium). This is a lush, compact nappy. Soft velvety minky outer, PUL waterproof layer, inbuilt microfibre absorbent pad and soft liner. This had a sewn-in bamboo & organic cotton soaker pad which I have removed but will still use as an insert when H wears this nappy (also available in a style where this is detachable with poppers). These are a very close fitting and attractive nappy, the minky feels great. Waist poppers adjust to at least 6 size settings, but not adjustable through the rise. Designed in Australia and made ethically in China.

I have a few shots I took of this little frog who happened to be inside one of my plastic container I have strewn around the side of my house. I am constantly shifting plants from one container to the next and have potting soil and such nearby and use these disposable plastic bowls so that I can bring my plants indoors and not leak water everywhere...

Well, we also have the teeny-weeny tiny little frogs which are no bigger and sometimes (more often than not) smaller than 2 CM aroudn the house. They may be tiny as you can see from the shots but they are GINORMOUS when it comes to chirping at night...

I am so glad I was able to catch this guy before he hopped off and out of range...(they also have a long range for propelling themselves).

she has a way with expressions .... that just makes me laugh & melts my heart at the same time.... =)

did this collage some time ago with papers from my ittybitty pile of paper from onegoodbumblebee.

ended up as a wedding gift for someone i don't know. hope they were pleased..

January 31, 2009

BigBrother took his first step into the world of extracurricular activities today. The local YMCA (where we are members) sponsors a youth basketball program. Their youngest group, the Itty Bitty group, is ages 3-6 (pre-K to K). I signed him up, not knowing how it would go. I really played it up every time I talked about it and when we left the house this afternoon, he was very excited.

The excitement faded quickly. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a total failure. But it wasn't exactly an easy transition either. By the end of the 45 minute practice, he seemed to have calmed into his role. He took to one coach more than the other. And I think it will be easier when we're having games (everyone is a winner!) with less people. (These first two weeks are learning how to shoot, pass and generally get the feel of the ball. So EVERYONE is involved.)

I asked him, as we left, if he had fun. And he said yes! And wanted to go back tomorrow. Not next week. Tomorrow. We stopped to get him some gym specific shoes and a new (Lightning McQueen) water bottle. He was excited to tell everyone about his experience.

I'm proud of him. He wasn't sure about it. There were a lot of kids. And he was a bit scared at first. But he kept at it. There were some hugs and some reassurances from me, of course. That's what I'm here for. But as he got the swing of things, he really started to smile and giggle.

And that's what this is all about.

Recently, I had the opportunity to capture a black belt test in Hapkido. It was a blast and if you'd like to see more please check out my blog.

My oldest son Bailey (7yr) and I, made a few cake pops inspired by Cat in the Hat's Thing 1 and Thing 2. We used the baking gadget by "Baby Cakepops", totally loved it and worked AWESOME! It makes 12 cakepops in one badge, easy, super fast between 3-4 minutes total and cooked properly! Love it!

For cakepop we used special made buttercream in red by our local supermarket Publix + cut a thin slice off a marshmellow to write with an edidable marker #1 + blue cotton candy to top it off as Thing 1's hair.

Edited with Ittybitty actions!
