The Fort Bragg Provost Marshal Office Traffic Division assisted 7th Military Information Support Battalion, 4th Military Information Support Group, to conduct an alcohol awareness safety class to raise awareness of alcohol’s rapid effects and to deter drunken driving.

Fort Bragg children gather at the North Post Exchange June 6 to become padawans and learn the ways of the force. The children were instructed on using a lightsaber to defend against the Dark Side at this Star Wars training like a Jedi event. In the end each participant received a certificate proclaiming their accomplishments as a Jedi padawan.
The Jedi training event was hosted by the Post Exchange for the Fort Bragg community. It took place at the North and South Post Exchange. Exchange employees dressed as Jedi masters to train the children on the ways of the force.

The operation took place on Hwy. 87 at the Cumberland Co. and Harnett Co. Line, and gave troopers and Soldiers the opportunity to enforce traffic laws and standards.

The 4-H Fine Arts Club at Chay Youth Activities Center presented their annual fashion show June 5. The show, “Runway on Fire — Paris Invasion,” included three fashion lines — royal court, villains and superheroes. The youth created the fashion ensembles and walked the runway to coordinated music and lighting. The club also worked with other 4-H clubs on the production elements of the show. Parent volunteers helped with hair and makeup.

The 14th Annual North Carolina Defense and Economic Development Trade Show was held at Fayetteville Technical Community College on Monday. Hosted by Senators Richard Burr and Thom Tillis, the North Carolina Business Center and FTCC, the show featured 600 businesses and over 100 indoor and outdoor exhibitors.
The purpose of the DTS is to build relationships between senior representatives of the Congressional delegation, the Department of Defense, other federal agencies and numerous defense contracting firms, including North Carolina small businesses.
