I photographed these posters in an Irish Pub as far as I can recall, possibly the Wikenny on San Martin St, Bariloche.

If you told me thirty years ago that people would be getting out of the Pub Business I would thought that you were insane but it is now happening on a regular basis especially in Dublin city.

According to media reports in August the Addison Lodge on Dublin's Northside is to remain in place after Dublin City Council refused planning permission to build apartments on the site where it is located.

My understanding is that developers had hoped to construct 19 houses and 12 apartments on the site in Glasnevin [across the road from the Botanic Gardens].

A few days ago I heard a rumour that revised planning permission application has been resubmitted [note: I could not find any evidence to support this rumour]

The Irish pub has lasted longer in the 1891 building at 751 N. Clark St. than several predecessors.

This photograph is from the Dublin City Council Photographic Collection. This unique collection is an educational resource and provides a basis for original research on the history of Dublin in the second half of the twentieth century.

I’m glad to see McNally’s got new paint, but I miss the bright green. (Keep in mind, the older image is reflecting sun, but that thing really was limey!)

Culdaff is located 8km north of Carndonagh to the north of the Inishowen peninsula. The village is visually charming and its present design dates from the 18th century. Each autumn the village and surrounding area celebrates the life and work of the 18th century playwright Charles Macklin who was born close-by. The village has a grocery shop and three pubs, one with a restaurant. Derry, 35km, has all the shopping you’d expect of a large provincial city. Nearby is Culdaff Bay with its Blue Flag beach and Bunagee Harbour which is a centre for angling and water sports. This area is perfect for hill walking and nature photography. Inistrahull Island, a few km offshore, is a great place for a day trip and a picnic.

McGrory's is a renowned, family run pub situated in the heart of the village. It is noted for a fine selection of quality food and drink, traditional Irish music and a friendly welcome. Macs Backroom Bar is one of Ireland's top live music venues and features acts from all around the world.

Wandered down Mill Avenue in Tempe this morning around 7am. Lovely start to the day.

"It's a brave man who faces the wife every night sober!"

We're all on the roller coaster to oblivion. You can spend the time praying or drinking...or even screwing. Whatever you're having yourself, the roller coaster doesn't slow down for any 'cunt'.

Can't wait to die and go to heaven because, that's where I'm going to go after 64 years of being screwed by every 'god-fearing' asshole on this fucking planet. I just can't wait to be singing Glory Hallelujah with all the cunts who screwed me. Please don't let Ratzo see this!

Irish Bar in Florence, Italy

Commercial Court, Belfast

I think that this pub is known locally as Mrs. Fiola Radcliffes Lounge Bar & Beer Garden.

I photographed this building, a public house, because it featured a small statue of the Virgin Mary and a larger statue of a bird of prey [which may have a small fish in its beak].

Athlunkard Street is a street on King's Island, in Limerick City. The street ends at the Abbey River, at the O'Dwyer Bridge. On its other end, after its intersection with Mary and Nicholas streets across the way from St. Mary's Cathedral, Athlunkard Street continues on to Matthew Bridge under the name Bridge Street.

Via the O'Dwyer Bridge and Athlunkard Avenue in Corbally, Athlunkard Street in Limerick leads toward the Athlunkard Bridge in Corbally, across the River Shannon from the townland of Athlunkard, County Clare, the Irish name of which, Áth Longphuirt, meaning "ford of the longphort," refers to a 9th-century Viking longphort (defended ship encampment) once located at that ford over the Shannon.
