The IL-62 was the first long-range jet aircraft to be operated by the Soviet Union and a number of allied nations.
The early IL-62 model was powered by 4 Kuznetsov NK-8 turbofan engines.

World's first IRC server, which used to be in University of Oulu computer "museum" (just a display behind a glass wall, really). The things aren't there anymore (or weren't last time I went past the place), I haven't yet bothered to find out where they are right now. Probably in a better place. A slightly crappy picture because it has a beam that mostly (you can see a bit of it if you look carefully) covers the most odd feature of this thing - Apple logo. (Which is odd because, as everyone knows, this is a Sun server.) I have a better pic, I'll probably put it here soon.

this often overlooked area of computer science will likely form the core of seminole research efforts into the realm of artificial intelligence and inference algorithms. seen here, trollbot, an openfly.pl based autonomous trolling platform is picking a fight with frznmargarita, a bot whose purpose is to report movement inside of NYC Resistor. As you can see the back and forth between these two bots gets rather heated.

Yes ... I accept it, I'm an IRC addict, but I use it at least to teach, learn and stay connected with my friends... a cup of coffee accompanied by a good talk at IRC makes the day's work out much better :)

I used to have an IRC bot that went by the name _Sloth_.
(I was doing a whole 7 Deadly Sins thing, _Sloth_ was one of several... I wanted Carolyn to be _Lust_. I used about 5)
Being a leecher, I had everything setup to autodownload anything anyone sent me.
At some point in time, someone randomly sent _Sloth_ a picture of a sloth. I don't think I ever noticed who.
