I've been playing Pokemon Fire Red for my Gameboy SP a lot lately XD I found my gameboy, found Pokemon, turned it on, and realized that I didn't remember anything that had gone on in the game... so I restarted it. I've become an addict [again]. Whee!

This actually was taken outside to be honest...it's kinda weird grabbing the tripod at 6:25am and walking into the parking lot of an apartment complex and standing there smiling like i'm getting some favors...if ya know what i mean.

Truth is, that smile is because it was 58 degrees outside when i shot this, which is just freakin' awesome down here in South Texas. It's supposed to reach a high of about 84 degrees today, so it's gonna feel like I'm hangin' out with all the Cali FuGgeRs today!

Happy International Fuggers Celebration Day!

Fact, this is one of 2 red shirts I own. I'm not a red kinda guy I guess...

she is an 8 week old puppy who fell asleep.

however...she fell asleep during the st patrick's day parade in montreal today

her very funny owners did not miss an opportunity to have some fun.

they had no idea that it would create an immediate sensation with everyone from security to parade participants to montreal police officers stopping to take her picture. and create parade stopping traffic. there may have been a bit of a crush to capture miss clover.

The flash did something weird, I think. :/

Kingston, Emily, and Michael outside being ridiculous, as usual.

left today...

already miss it...

but there's something about home that's so sweet...

Every heart sings a song, incomplete, until another heart whispers back. Those who wish to sing always find a song. At the touch of a lover, everyone becomes a poet.

I recently went away with a large group of friends to the New Forest in Hampshire to celebrate my birthday. We arrived Friday late afternoon and by Saturday morning I had come down with the Flu. So I spent the majority of the weekend in bed feeling close to death. I managed to join everyone for one walk and got a few mushroom shots. Not the most successful weekend....

Dead Flowers

Well when you're sitting there in your silk upholstered chair

Talkin' to some rich folk that you know

Well I hope you won't see me in my ragged company

Well, you know I could never be alone

Take me down little Susie, take me down

I know you think you're the queen of the underground

And you can send me dead flowers every morning

Send me dead flowers by the mail

Send me dead flowers to my wedding

And I won't forget to put roses on your grave

Well when you're sitting back in your rose pink Cadillac

Making bets on Kentucky Derby Day

I'll be in my basement room with a needle and a spoon

And another girl to take my pain away

Take me down little Susie, take me down

I know you think you're the queen of the underground

And you can send me dead flowers every morning

Send me dead flowers by the mail

Send me dead flowers to my wedding

And I won't forget to put roses on your grave

Take me down little Susie, take me down

I know you think you're the queen of the underground

And you can send me dead flowers every morning

Send me dead flowers by the U.S. Mail

Say it with dead flowers in my wedding

And I won't forget to put roses on your grave

No, I won't forget to put roses on your grave

365. Day eighty-four.

I built a nest of pillows for Granger in my office so he can nap while I play in the internet tubes :-)

this one reminds me of those 1950 b-grade horror movie posters... "it came from outer space (and stole her gloves)"

walking down a manhattan street this morning, this is what i saw. this! this! of all the names in all the gin joints in all the world... and the thing is, it's so frikkin' true. i lost count how many times florian made me laugh out loud this weekend. i think my favorite moment was when he texted me with this urgent message: "i got a utah quarter!"

are you looking your best for it?

We used to sing this at school when I was little, about 8 years old. With these lyrics :) And with the Finnish translation of course. This song has been with me ever since. I loved it from the first moment I first heard it, and I return to it every now and then. This instrumental version is very very beautiful. I warmly recommend listening to it, it you need a mid day break from your thoughts and tasks.

La cruda es horrible.

Today I sold my darling bike, Jeserene. It nearly broke my heart to let her go, but I did, and to a good home.

I know, it's just a bike, but this was my first fixed gear. Hey, I'm a sentimental lady.

I don't know how within a half an hour I managed to get so down on myself.

I'll say it again.. Best. Wig. EVAR!

Janurary 4, 2009

Today was a different type of relaxing Sunday. I knew I didn't need to straighten my hair or look all spiffy because there would be no need to take a picture of myself. Of course I straightened my hair, what are you ridiculous to think otherwise?

On my Sunday walk I came across the sign in this polaroid and I accidentally met the mother of the children who created it. Apparently these kids came up with the idea of making a cookie restaurant. There first step involved making a menu. The second step will actually be the cookies if they remain motivated long enough to do so.

When I was a kid, I remember reading comics or watching TV shows where kids would make Lemonade stands and try to sell them for money. I tried to make a lemonade stand too (I even tried to sell gobi and protay) and never realized that living in the country side was not conducive for such things compared to the city. I mean the pedestrian rate was like 1 person / 2 days if you were lucky. Now if I had created a menu and placed it in a main intersection I could have at least doubled the pedestrian traffic on my street I wreckon. Genius kids and there menus!

Just before I let you go, I have one last story for today. As many of you know, I fell off the bus a day or so ago. As a result, I was so nervous getting off the bus today that I did a little reconnaissance mission. When I got on the bus, I made sure the side paneling didn't look like it was going to fall off and trip me. That is when I realized that this bus was not the same type of bus I was on last time -- there was no side panelling or anything that could fall off, lucky me!

As I got ready to exit the bus, the bus driver recognized me as the girl that fell off the bus the other day. I mean what are the odds that I would have the same bus driver? Really? He mentioned that he has seen a lot of people fall onto the bus, in the bus, but never anyone off the bus the way I did. He never has seen someone crawl up into the fetal position on the side walk for a few moments, and then just laugh hysterically. He also told me because of the accident, he (along with many others) got newer buses where their own heat box actually work and produce heat to keep them warm from the door constantly opening and closing.

He gave me a high-five and that was that.

Two hearts that shouldn't Talk to each other become close In a town much like a prison cell...I will meet you in the next life, I promise you Where we can be together, I promise you I will wait till then in heaven, I promise you I promise, I promise.
