During the Covid-19 pandemic the 50 or 70 year old cement slab, dozen picnic tables and shelter roof were torn down. But this brick toilet facility adjacent was preserved and remodeled to ADA standards. New cement for wheelchair access and the much smaller picnic shelter in the distance was raised. Instead of asphalt shingles, long-wearing steel covers it. Fewer tables serve the smaller families and family-reunions of 2023. And solar panels were attached to the south slope of the roof to power overhead lights with renewable energy.
