The Holgate Glacier (Kenai Fjords National Park, Alaska) drains the Harding Ice Field, flowing into Aialik Bay. Like many tidewater glaciers, it loses more of its mass by the process known as "calving," when a glacier sheds icebergs into a body of water at its toe.
