I had to drop our car into the local mechanic & had an hour to kill so I headed off for a walk around the bay at Arthurstown to see if the Brent Geese where there. Sadly they weren't & the tide was way out. Despite the sunshine it was bitterly cold HTmT, HTT and HWW!

Certainly the most luxurious vacation I've ever had but more than worth the 3-year (covid pandemic) wait. This iPhone shot is from one of 3 stunning pools at Secrets Akumal, Mexico. I honestly could not recommend this resort highly enough for an overall outstanding experience. Definitely not our usual vacation but amazing all the same - can't fault a thing - and we've worked hard to earn this.
It'll be difficult to top and I imagine this is the experience at most resorts now in the Maldives - which was certainly not quite the case when I worked there (before moving to Canada). Back then, the Maldive Island resorts were proud of being very rustic and 'desert island' feel and I liked that.

I find the vibrant greens offset by the somber grays to be quite beautiful. I also love the desolation of the place.
