Seconds later he was pecking at the car window. Ostrich in Woburn Safari Park, thank goodness the window was shut.
This Bennington-style porcelain door knob was shot at a building in Brattleboro, Vermont.
The Bennington pottery first produced richly swirled clay knobs in the mid 1800s. Paired with small rosettes or back plates, they make a stately, yet understated period style door set. The durable glazed knobs were firmly fastened to a solid iron shank in antique iron finish.
Taken pretty much on the crossroads between Orlicky and Čenkovice, Bohemia, CZ, nr. Suchy Vrch (Dry Hill) (995m).
Standard iPhone 8 Plus shot, tickled in Snapseed on iPad Pro.

Took this shot while visiting Amberg, Bavaria, Germany. Taken with the iPhone 8 Plus on a misty morning, (you might be able to just make out the vague outline of a church tower above the bridge in the middle of the picture) edited in photoshop on Mac to remove 5 people, then tickled in Snapseed on iPad Pro.
The Stadtbrille, or "town spectacles," is a water gate construction spanning the Vils river, which once served to protect the town and to connect the new castle to the armory. the gateway was built in 1534. Two of the semi-circular arches cast reflections on the river to form an illusion of a pair of spectacles.
Amberg has a lot to offer: many churches (finely restored), town walls and towers etc., a few museums, sculpture path with modern pieces, the town hall, the smallest hotel Europe (only big enough for a couple), etc. A great place to sit and relax in the square, have a drink and watch the World go by......
It also has free parking for about 15 camper vans just outside the town walls (you have to pay into a machine if you want electric hook up), so this has become one of our regular stop offs when we travel to and from Czechia. it’s all so civilised. I so wish the UK had taken more inspiration from the EU during the last 40 years.

Really felt a sense of 'going back in time" here, to a more romantic and timeless age in a way, hence the title...) This was taken at the Alcazaba Citadel, Málaga, Spain. One of so many features to explore in this magnificent treasure, the Alcazaba is the best preserved Moorish fortress Palace in Spain.
Handheld iPhone 8 Plus (with Zeiss ExoLens (Wide-Angle) and Shoulderpod S1 (which also acts as a tripod attachment and I thoroughly recommend as a MUST in anyones smartphone kit, together with the Hisy remote trigger (only for iPhone).
Just a 2 minute edit in Snapseed on IPad Pro.

This was a handheld standard iPhone 8 Plus shot taken while travelling near Mathon, Herefordshire, UK recently. As long as I can remember I've enjoyed looking at Oast houses*, for me they make a fascinating addition to a rural landscape, a bygone age. Seeing them dotted around the countryside certainly adds a new perspective, almost all are now no longer used. I jumped at the chance to photograph this one, it turns out it's part of an unusual ecology farm offering Bed & Breakfast, see links below.
*Oast Houses (An oast, oast house or hop kiln is a building designed for kilning (drying) hops as part of the brewing process.)
Photo gently caressed in Snapseed on iPad Pro.
