The iPhone did a terrific job on this image. Mrs. Mallard and her brood were in deep shadow but the camera wasn't fooled.

Here's a signature plus of the iPhone, as compared with other phones. I looked at this on the iPhone's screen and thought "Damn...I really thought it'd do better than this." But the actual file looked dynamite. Many other phones (like the Samsung Galaxy S5) look incredible on the device's screen, thanks to the way the display is tuned, but the actual photo is only so-so.
