I could not resist, it's not powerful but is beautiful.

My brand new iPad 3 with plenty of screen bleeding or light bleeding around the edges.

All of my iPads, from 1 to 3, including 3 separate iPad 2's, have all had screen bleeding. The iPad 3 has the least of any of the one's I've owned, but I still don't understand why it has to be there. Why can't they just seal it 100% around the edge? Why do they have to leave spaces unsealed for light to pour into the beautiful screen?

The famous Hurricane taken with a Nikkor 17-35 AF-S on the D800. Tone mapping and modest straightening used for effect.

Taken with Nikon D5100, edited on iPad 3. Of course every time you run it thru something on the iPad more than one app has a habit of stripping the EFIX! I mean come on how hard could it be NOT TO STRIP THE EFIX?? Really…

Streamlining your Digital Life with the new iPad is a cool infographic that visualizes the history of all of the electronic gadgets that Apple's new iPad has made obsolete. The benefit is that you can get money for those old gadgets, and make purchasing a new iPad more affordable!

Designed by InfoNewt.com for NextWorth.com, the infographic also visualizes the numbers behind the different ways people use their iPads.

A young live oak, only a few decades old, on the FSU campus, near the top of a hill that is fairly steep back in the opposite direction behind me. The buildings near the palm trees straight ahead in the middle of the picture are part of the College of Music.

Taken with an HDR camera app (only two exposures combined) on an iPad 3 and imported into ArtStudio to straighten up the verticals. After all, outside of pictures in the real world upright things likes trees and buidlings are actually close to vertical, but it's easy for me to forget that the lenses of my eyes and cameras don't always see them that way. I adjusted the perspective in this photo and left it a trapezoid partly to remind myself of that. Sometimes I also like to see things in my pictures lined up the way they "really" are.

Got a leather case for iPad 3. Looks like the placement of the sleep/wake magnet sensor is changed from iPad 2.

iPad doing what it does best.

Compared to reading it on the old one, there is a HUGE difference in quality. Text is so much easier to read on the Retina display and it's so much easier on the eyes too.

#077 To say it in the words of hogg86 "My new toy arrived today!";) Actually, I was able to by it on Friday - "Launch Day" at the Hamburg Apple store, quite a weird experience..

Did quite a few shots but wasn't satisfied at all until the idea popped into my mind to use some reflection..

Technical: Tripod, f/5.6, 0.6s ISO100 28mm.

I chose to do a project for 2012 to improve my photography. The plan is to take pictures on as many days as possible and post a picture of 2012 each day.

Taken with an Ipad 3.

“Q = improved hacked ashtray forms” #crazyisgood #hacks

The pot cover edition was not very effective, so I bought a stainless steel strainer today as replacement.

# How it works

1. Stainless steel mixing bowl provides large container surface for cigarettes. Easy to clean and dispose of ash.

2. Instead of using oxygen-elimination as extinguishing method, I fill the bowl with water, easily found inside “smoking lounge.”

3. Strainer prevents cigarette from dropping into water accidentally.

4. Since it sits comfortably onto the bowl, the strainer also provides adequate balance to hold cigarettes in place.

5. When done, simply flip the strainer and cigarette extinguishes in water immediately.

Intended for personal use, but similar designs can be made to fit a party crowd no doubt.

Cost: mixing bowl HK$25 (US$3) 日本城. Strainer HK$18 (US$2) 日本城. Compare to my old Arne Jacobsen Ashtray (US$90) at MOSS NYC this is a bargain.

First test with the new iPad. It is a totally different experience capture, process and upload to Flickr all from the same device!
