That film look. Another of Saturday's photo session while doing laundry. Multitasking at it's best with "Adult Juice Box & an iPad 3"! L0L (the "adult juice box" reference is a Thanks to 'Heart4Whimsy' (i.e.: Susan) ) So that's what IT will be called from now on! :)

From playing with many combinations in Inkpad, Procreate, Aquarella HD, PhotoWizard, and iPhoto. Mostly just experimenting to see what can be done and, alas, mostly not done, with such opposite iPad art apps as Inkpad, with its bland even colors, and Aquarella HD, with its six paper textures and many adjustable random background patterns. This result and dozens of other variations fell far short of what I was trying for.

This is my friend Robin from high school. Her husband took the photo but I edited it for her as a gift. She loved it and asked me to post it to her FB wall…so I did. She does "love" wine!! :)

I'm pretty excited for the new iPad (aka the iPad 3) with its retina display. It seems a great venue for displaying the photos we shoot these days with high-resolution DSLRs.
I've prepared a few photos that I plan to use as backdrops on the new iPad. They're cropped to 2048x2048, to allow for use in both portrait and landscape orientations. I'm uploading them to share with anyone else who might want them. Feel free to download the original size.
Other iPad 3rd generation wallpapers are available in this set.

My brand new iPad 3 with plenty of screen bleeding or light bleeding around the edges.
All of my iPads, from 1 to 3, including 3 separate iPad 2's, have all had screen bleeding. The iPad 3 has the least of any of the one's I've owned, but I still don't understand why it has to be there. Why can't they just seal it 100% around the edge? Why do they have to leave spaces unsealed for light to pour into the beautiful screen?

The famous Hurricane taken with a Nikkor 17-35 AF-S on the D800. Tone mapping and modest straightening used for effect.
Taken with Nikon D5100, edited on iPad 3. Of course every time you run it thru something on the iPad more than one app has a habit of stripping the EFIX! I mean come on how hard could it be NOT TO STRIP THE EFIX?? Really…

Streamlining your Digital Life with the new iPad is a cool infographic that visualizes the history of all of the electronic gadgets that Apple's new iPad has made obsolete. The benefit is that you can get money for those old gadgets, and make purchasing a new iPad more affordable!
Designed by InfoNewt.com for NextWorth.com, the infographic also visualizes the numbers behind the different ways people use their iPads.
