#297 The company with the fruit-logo published new gadgets today. All of them are beautiful. Nevertheless, I am happy with what I have and that I don't feel to buy all new;)
The idea for an upsidedown illuminated display comes from my contact Skley.
Technical: Tripod, f/16, 30s, ISO320, 100mm Macro, Polaroid Fluorescent filter, illuminated with an iPhone display.
I chose to do a project for 2012 to improve my photography. The plan is to take pictures on as many days as possible and post a picture of 2012 each day.
If the small pleasures are really the ones that count, there's a special one that I had the opportunity to try in its full power last week. After being an iPad 2 user for over 1 year, I've bought the new iPad (Apple Store, Amsterdam).
As I started to open it, I felt like I was in some sort of Pirate/treasure hunt movie, when they open the treasure chest and that golden glow shines upon their face.
I'm totally serious when I say that the iPad is probably one of the most beautiful things that exist. It doesn't have any exotic shape, there's not much detail, but its finishing is absolutely stunning.
Minimalist in design: there are only the elementary elements, like a few pictures, some information, and of course, the apple logo. I really felt like I had won the lottery.
I'm proud to be an apple-user. Every single day.
Using an iPad to light the portrait. It works nice, like a small softbox :)
Strobist info: One iPad3 retina display, camera top left, full power :)

For just a minute or two early on a sunny morning, the sunlight hits the corner of the glass panels at just the right angle. It acts like a prism, splitting the light into its component colours. The spectrum can be seen on the carpet in the foreground.
By moving my iPhone carefully across the spectrum, I captured the classic ROYGBIV sequence of colours in the lens flare. Pretty!
