More than many styli I was looking forward to using a Plai eStylo. So much so that I backed it on Kickstarter, even going for one of the higher amounts to get my favourite colour of stylus (orange).
It was successfully backed in December 11 and then... well, there was a bit of a wait until it finally arrived mid May 2012. But hey, these things happen.
Unfortunately, to make matters sadder, I seem to have received a defective unit, or it is NOT as advertised. Only one end works, and only just, it's not magnetic so doesn't stick to the iPad, all that fun stuff. Still slots into the hand nicely and I like the wood material choice. Hoping to hear back from their support side soon. Drew this, just to see if it would click, but with a VERY narrow connection angle it's almost unusable. Sad.

I have been asked by a friend to experiment in the use of a portable pixl-latr frame and a DSLR for converting (analogue) film to a digital image.
The frame has two functions (i) to hold flat various sizes of film and (ii) to diffuse light from any type of source. The light source in this image was from an iPad that has a light box app installed.
