iPad 2 offers dynamic video phone options, because of the two cameras: The regular one looks at you on the screen side, like you do with Skype or iChat.
And there is a camera on the back of the iPad that looks out from your vantage point. You can show what's going on around you with it.
In this shot, George is home in the City in the studio. I'm in Santa Cruz with Pete and Kaylah at Coffeetopia. We are both using the look-out camera on the back of the iPad:
He is showing me stuff going on with his music gear; I'm showing him what's going on in the coffee shop. ( Pete is working on a book illustration. Kaylah is digging it. That's Kelly on the right edge and Will on the left. )

The iPad image is blurry if the iPad is moving or the subject is moving, just like a satellite phone.
Anderson Cooper has to stay still if he wants us to see him in Abbu Dhabi.
