Hiked around in -30 for a while until we found this mini sled jump in a playground. I'm surprised we stayed as long as we did, but it was long enough for Dale to stomp his first ever backflip.

Pow vid coming soon!

Composing through the inverted picture on a ground glass is a challenging, yet very rewarding experience. I find that it isolates the part of reality you are trying to capture and presents it to you not simply as a crop of what you see, but as a photograph. Interestingly, the same inversion happens in our eyes: the image in the retina is, too, inverted sideways and upside down. Our brain, though, learns to compensate for it from day 0.

This inverter will take power from the trailer's battery and create a source of 110 volt 60 cycle power. It is installed under the front driver side bench seat. The power is supplied to the top half of three of the power outlets in the trailer. Inverter power is also supplied to the exterior 110 volt outlet. An outlet was installed under the passenger side bench seat to allow switching the exterior outlet from shore power to inverter power. The inverter can be turned on and off with a toggle switch located next to the front power outlet. See gpelectric.com/

When we are dry camping or driving the battery will be charged with our solar panel through the solar power controller, which is at the bottom of the photo.

SAFETY ALERT! (Sept 26 2013.) I have just become aware that supplying both inverter power and shore power to the same outlet box is a hazard if there is any possibility of power being on in one of the outlets while off on the other, since an unsuspecting person opening the box may be put in a hazardous situation. To solve this problem I am in the process of buying and installing a manual transfer switch so that power to the outlets can be switched from shore power to inverter power. Both top and bottom outlets will be at the same voltage.

No Photoshop manipulations - only inverting, adjusting brightness and colors

Another inverted landscape becomes organic abstract form. This time I took the shot with the intention of turning it over. I love how inverting these scenes of natural drainage channels in the Morecambe Bay mud completely alters their appearance; how the valleys and scoops become ridges and bulges and perspective is reversed simply by turning the photo through 180º. Apart from a small crop and even smaller exposure adjustment, no other photoshopping done to the image.

Showing you how to invert a picture of a negative to get the real positive image!

-Photograph the negative against a light source using the macro setting of your camera;

-Invert the colors on Photoshop (Ctrl+i);

-Select the area of the photo;

-Apply auto levels and then auto color;

-Increase contrast and decrease brightness.

There you are! Now you can see the "positived" negative. Of course this is downright rudimentary, but more complex schemes can be figured out to improve image quality, and then you can have a digital archive straight out of your negative!

Boughton House, Northamptonshire, is a country house about 3 miles north-east of Kettering near Geddington. Part of an estate of 11,000 acres, it is one of the seats of the Duke of Buccleuch and famed for its beauty, its collections, and the fact it has survived virtually unchanged since the 17th century. While possessing a medieval core, its exterior evokes an opulent French chateau, causing it to be called 'The English Versailles'.

In keeping with the French style of its exterior, Boughton House is set amidst a highly impressive formal, yet arcadian garden of strict geometry, designed on the golden ratio. Vast swathes of turf, planes of reflecting water, strong lines of trees and linear earth forms create an intellectually meditative landscape indicative of the Age of Enlightenment and the idea that a garden could be a journey of the mind, yet acknowledge the natural world. The 2nd Duke, who had been nicknamed John The Planter, swept away the previous ornamental parterres, multiplied the avenues of elms and planes, and developed the role of water which structures the garden. Later, the landscaper of the garden at Stowe, Charles Bridgeman, who was under his employ, is believed to have created the sculptural earth forms.

Restoration of the garden was begun by the 9th Duke, and has continued under the 10th Duke. It included returning the River Ise to its eighteenth-century width, which required two miles of green oak boarding, fixed by coach bolts. In 2009 landscape designer Kim Wilkie was commissioned to create a new work to complement an existing pyramidal grassed mount. The result, called Orpheus, is named after the famed musician of Greek mythology who, when his wife Eurydice died, went down into the underworld to try to reclaim her. His music was so beautiful that Hades relented and allowed Eurydice to return to the world of the living. This striking landform seamlessly continues the garden's intellectual dialogue via an immense inverted pyramid and spiral rill, both set within a golden ratio. In 2015 The Grand Etang, or ‘large lake’ in French, a long-vanished lake of almost one-acre with a 75 ft tall water jet was recreated, to once again reflect the main frontage of Boughton. Located immediately to the north-west of the House, it is one of the earliest surviving features from the original gardens and designed landscape. It was created in the early 18th century as a reflecting pool for the house and was also used for ice-skating in the winter.

Okay, so I cheated and just inverted it on this end, since apparently the screenshots you take come out normal. But damn if that Twitterrific bird doesn't look satanic.
