Great Bear is an inverted roller coaster located at Hersheypark in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Designed by Werner Stengel, the roller coaster was built by Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M) and opened in 1998 in the Kissing Tower Hill section of the park. Due to surrounding terrain and proximity to other attractions, the coaster was one of B&M's most difficult installations. The supports weren't permitted to be built in nearby Spring Creek, and the limitation resulted in an unusual support structure design for a B&M coaster.
Ride experience
Riders exit the station and climb a 90-foot (27 m) hill. Unique to Great Bear, there is a helix immediately after the lift, swinging riders around into the 124-foot (38 m) drop into Comet Hollow. After the drop, train enters a loop, followed immediately by an Immelmann loop, and then going into a zero-g roll. Riders continue through Comet Hollow over midway areas, making a sharp turn over Spring Creek. After a short straightaway, the train goes into a corkscrew, and then up a hill with two wide turns. For the 2014 season, the on-ride camera's location was changed to just after the corkscrew inversion, on the same pole that houses the on-ride camera for SooperDooperLooper. The train then enters a short brake run; after the brake-run, riders return to the station. Great Bear was the first inverted looping coaster in Pennsylvania.

Except for the DuMont and Glenradio which use mains frequency inverter vibrators, these all use car radio type vibrators operating at around 115 c/s.
Since this photo, I've collected a number of U.S. made Terado and All State inverters. Why would someone collect 115V inverters in Australia you might ask? Actually, I have a small but growing number of 115V appliances. And, many items sold in Australia in the last few years with switchmode supplies are designed to run from 100-240V.
Uses 2 Raster grids based on density of survey responses. Red representing concentrations of persons who felt they had compromised on their choice of suburb when moving house, Green representing those who felt they hadn't. Grids Added together to generate composite yellow (mix of responses). To generate the base map I extracted an OSM layer and imported it to GIMP using this to invert the black and whites. The OSM map was then added as an overlay set to ADDITION in order to emphasize the raster layers.

A species I haven't had the pleasure of seeing in Ireland for quite a few years, so it was great to catch up with a few in Co. Wexford recently.
Cold winter days, waiting for the first sunrise of 2014. No winds blowing yet, the reflection was so clear, the duck swimming disturbed the stillness of the waters, but it created a beautiful effect. All glory to God

Lighting conditions were so horrible (super hot yellow lights with narrow fields with shadow/highlights beyond cameras dynamic range) that I forgot what Bond tune played on the sax.
