I bought a Wacom Intuo 2 12x12 for hubby. Ugrading from his Graphire 4x6 he has been using for a long time.
Well, I don't mind if it's pretty expensive because we can use it as a Write Off, and he can use it to make money...HA HA HA...A
This character is designed with the intention of being a villain/antagonist to a story aimed at teens of all ages, similar to Adventure Time. It could also lean more to the adult side, like The Simpsons. Drawn using Adobe Photoshop on a Wacom Intuos Pro Medium.

2011 has been a great year for finding mushrooms! People are finding them by the hundreds! We've had a lot of rain this year. I thought it would be fun to do a digital painting of some shrooms with my digital pen tablet. They have a real neat texture about them. I found them to be really fun to paint.

Just playing around with Coral Paint 12 and my Wacom Intuos 4. I know, I can't help giving you all the nerdy details :).
This was my first 100% digital sketch-work. The vase in question was sitting on a slick-covered book, which is what through the reflection up under the barrel of the vase itself.
I used GIMP 2.6 and a Wacom Intuos in Ubuntu to create the art. I flood-filled the background with 70% tone, then used the pencil, smudge, and eraser tools to add and remove other tone. I think next time I should change the shadows more gradually so the blend is smoother.
