The box says its 22" and 500 cd/m²... that seems about right. It looks like it can eat my PowerBook and tablet in one gulp and is at least twice as bright as the PowerBook (which I believe was 250 cd/m² fresh out of the box).
Unfortunately, the picture settings (brightness, contrast, color, gamma) don't look right no matter HOW I adjust them. Color reproduction can't even compare to my old PowerBook (which isn't great, but pretty good for a laptop).
On the bright side, it's nice for watching movies (5ms response time; I personally saw no ghosting in my HD movies)... just murderous for graphics. Sadly, I do graphics more than I watch movies... so this is going back to the store.
I just got a brand new Wacom Cintiq 21UX. *Now* I need a much lower desk. Sigh. Good thing I can use my old Intuos 4 for the time being. Btw, I know a lot of people think the Cintiq isn't so great a monitor, but it's bigger and better than my old Dell!

Here's a side-by-side comparison of the "prosumer" Intuos and my old "consumer" Graphire
Here's another shot of the Intuos
Going Back to Drawing Faces
+ these are a collection of some of my simple and quick digital drawings
+ the drawing above is done using Corel Painter 2015 using charcoal brushes
+ tablet used: Wacom Intuos 4
Wacom has been pretty generous with the tips that come with the Intuos 4 - the new surface is a lot rougher, meaning the tips will wear down pretty quickly, but the upside is a more paper-like feeling, which I love. The pen is a lot cooler than the Bamboo one, too - thicker and has a nice grippy rubber surface.
(I case you can´t tell, the tips are inside the pen holder that twists off, and it also has a tweezer ring - no more biting the worn down tips out of the pen anymore.)
Decided to try my hand at calligraphy on the Wacom. Like the quote says, my handwriting wanders a bit but it's been a long time since I did calligraphy on a regular basis, so all in all not bad. :)
Whoops! Forgot to add the author at the bottom (JRR Tolkien).
