Surreal Automatism - I do a big squiggle and find something in it

This drawing harkens back to a painting I did in 1996 - Soul Love: and is about that very thing - there are people you will meet here on planet earth in this lifetime that you will know to be people you have run with for centuries. The relationships may be very unconventional but, nonetheless they must be given their due course, otherwise certain things which need to take place will have to take place the next time around.

So this was suppose to be something beachy. Just came back from a week at the beach and was still in that space. However, this painting had something else in mind and started telling me so with big green circles-what???

I love how this piece turned out-joyful, whimsical and playful....just as life should be. Choose JOY.

I decided I didn't cover up enough so added more red (with my son's input). I make all three of them come in and look at my process each time I paint. They are use to their "weird" Mom :-)

Intuitive Machines IM-1 Nova-C lander Odysseus was launched with SpaceX Falcon 9 from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center on February 15th, 2024. It is scheduled to land on the moon on February 22nd, 2024. I was able to capture the rocket booster (the bright object) and the lander (the dimmer, trailing object) using my remote telescope in New Mexico.
