It feels silly to describe myself as an artist. There's a certain connotation with that word. At least, in my mind there is and I do not fit that description.
~
Yesterday I vocalized things that have been mulling around in my brain.
I often have difficulty transforming my thoughts into spoken words.
~
I do not really "fit in" anywhere. I am a mother, but that is not all I am. I am an artist (there, I said it) but that is not all that I am. It seems that the two are mutually exclusive. The few friends that I have, don't have children. The people I know who do have children are not people I would call "friends." I know no one like me. It feels a little lonely.

Solitary, Contemplative/Introspective
interesting premise for soliary, not closed-off, just removed... Maybe Emergent in this way?
Looking introspective - which he is.
He borrowed one of my physics texts to read, just to learn new stuff, and told me he did go through it. In the last few years, he has been following string theory, which I think is mostly an ideological pursuit and is a big waste of money, but which he thinks has some merit. Who knows? Dad may be right. Certainly Ed Witten et al. do, and he and his colleagues get a lot of money to investigate string theory, so who am I to argue?
Denmark-based Icelander Snaevar Njall Albertsson, the multi-instrumentalist mastermind behind Dad Rocks!, creates beautiful music that wavers between sparse, introspective folk and intricate, sonic bursts of orchestra rock. The straightforward guitar work is playful and the weaving arrangements are richly-textured ? seemingly perfect for his songs, whose stories often reveal perspectives from both the naive, innocent child and the wise, serious parent. Similarly, his voice is tinged with a vulnerable tenderness, despite its deep and gravelly quality.

The ugliest thing in Sofia and the 1300 Hundred Years Monument in the background. Hey, did I just zing myself?
I decided to take these because i've been having a tough time lately, and i wanted to depict my state through photos. I probably took them around 1am - 3am
Paul Cézanne’s Self-Portrait with a Beret (1898–1900) demonstrates the artist’s mastery in exploring his own visage through introspective brushwork. A sense of detachment characterizes this painting, possibly his last self-portrait, as his eyes lack detailed animation, suggesting psychological distance. While elements like the jacket and chair are thinly painted and incomplete, the rich, deliberate color planes defining his forehead and cheekbones illustrate Cézanne’s ongoing commitment to composition and form. This painting passed through notable hands, including dealer Ambroise Vollard, collector Egisto Fabbri, and dealer Paul Rosenberg, before being acquired by Robert Treat Paine II and ultimately gifted partially by his daughter, Elizabeth Paine Metcalf, to the MFA in 1972.
The Museum of Fine Arts was founded in 1870 and relocated to its current neoclassical building designed by architect Guy Lowell at 465 Huntington Avenue in 1909. The museum's vast collection spans over 500,000 works of art, with highlights including ancient Egyptian artifacts, 18th- and 19th-century American art, French Impressionist and Post-Impressionist masterpieces, and a renowned collection of Asian art. Originally located in a Gothic Revival building in Copley Square, much of the museum’s early collection came from the Boston Athenaeum Art Gallery. Over the years, the museum expanded significantly, adding the Decorative Arts Wing in 1968, the Norman Jean Calderwood Garden Court and Terrace in 1997, and a modern Americas Wing in the mid-2000s designed by Foster and Partners.

A ’20s themed shoot, and an introspective look at Riley Willson, ft. a fishing spot near his home town of Red Deer, Grandfather’s fly fishing rod/Knights of Columbus attire, Riley's father's fishing rod, Riley's childhood N64 controller, and Riley/Sasha's dog Zoey.
The shoot consisted of various formats, including: 4×5, 35mm and digital full frame.
I’m still waiting to develop the Ektar and Delta frames, and will be posting those at a later date, along with an interview from Riley.
There was only one preview shot included in this set, and that's something I will be doing more of in the future- and iphone as well.
I've been in talks with Riley, and we'll be doing a second shoot, for sure- involving a boat!! Ideas are a floatin' already.
