Took this one in a high def setting so you can zoom in on the finish of the skin; you may need to give it a moment to load. Gac's finishes all his skins with extra details like this and if you're looking for a slightly more mature skin then head on over to Manhood to pick up a demo. Include face effects/tattoos like I have here to make this skin your own.

The Bayon, Prasat Bayoăn is a richly decorated Khmer temple related to Buddhism at Angkor in Cambodia. Built in the late 12th or early 13th century as the state temple of the King Jayavarman VII, the Bayon stands at the centre of Jayavarman's capital, Angkor Thom.
This image is of a 10x12 inch sandstone replica that I purchased in Siam Reap 2003, from Artisans Ankor:
A European program called "REPLIC" provided financial support between 1998 and 2001 to create a project called "Artisans Angkor" to be a workplace for the young Cambodians trained by CEFP in the handicraft sector. In 2003, with support of the Agence Française de Développement (French Agency for Development), Artisans Angkor became an autonomous and semi-public Cambodian company. The profits of the company are wholly reinvested in the new training programs or construction of new workplaces in the Siem Reap province.
The company has developed its own training program (independent from the CEFP) in the craft sector, giving young Cambodians aged from 18 to 25 years free vocational training in stone or wood carving, or lacquering, or silver plating. Young people mostly from remote rural areas close to a new workshop built by Artisans Angkor can apply for this training; they have to pass some of manual and motivational tests. The compensated training period lasts from 6 to 9 months and at the end of this apprenticeship, the trainees are granted the status of "artisans". If they wish, they can then join Artisans Angkor where an employment opportunity is guaranteed to them.

On February 21st I celebrated my one year anniversary on Flickr and at around the same time hit the 1K follower mark. Not going to lie this has led to a lot of introspection, but I'd like to take a moment to thank all of you.
In the beginning there was a bakery . This was my first upload as Lavender. The snap was taken at Winterset Hollow and in the absence of a Frogmore sim I've chosen instead to hang about in Sainte Rose Sur Mer. I don't remember much about the place but I'm sure it was a collaboration between Terry and Tolla . The place wasn't just beautiful, it introduced me to the idea that landscape photography in Second Life was a thing.
After that it was a hop, skip and a jump onto Flickr and the rabbit hole that all of you beautiful, creative people make. I am constantly inspired and driven to learn more because of you. More than that, my first life creative work is energised by this and I'm just so grateful for all of you. Thankyou all so much, may The Muses be with you <3
It becomes obvious that oppose for me divine faiths in the realities which we live down here. The slavery is everywhere, we are our own executioners, our own victims and our chains get grow every day a little more weighing down our fears and our fears. Towards whom and towards that to turn? The future will tell us nothing because it does not want to speak to us, it does not love to us, it flees us. And even if the field adorned us very green and fertile, the sky, him, reminds to us to the concerns.
“Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”
― C.G. Jung
inside the dim hush of the ferry, one figure drifts inward, lost in thought, while another leans into the haze of the city beyond. between them lies a frame of orange steel and quiet water, holding two lives in parallel pause.
Been in a reflective mood lately. Lots of things happening in and around my life that make me think. Which I never need an excuse to do. Just thought I'd take something different.

Divagation du photographe ?
Introspection ?
Très certainement un peu de tout ça.
Il est bon de laisser son âme errer, chercher.

Photographer's drift?
Introspection ?
Most certainly a little bit of all of this.
It is good to let his soul wander, seek.

I don't often associate Northern Mockingbirds with introspection, but with this one looking downward (and inward?), it kind of comes to mind.
If I take a little introspection and looking back on my own path, I notice how my curiousity and relationship towards learning have changed throughout my life.
As a small child, I was curious to the world, like we all are when we are children.
In my school years, learning about the world meant carrying a school bag heavier than myself, memorising data with the help of tired or harmful teachers (heartful respect for the few exceptions), marching towards to the all familiar feeling of fear before and during being tested, an inescapable race of collecting marks towards results which meant nothing yet everything to me each year. School would have killed my curiosity and passion for learning completely, if I didn't have my Grandfather in my life.
He believed in the value of culture so deeply, that he spent literally all his excess money throughout his life to collate a home library for his family with over 10.000 books in it, all stored in his small flat and my parents' house. That meant that I was growing up in a room which was fully dedicated to hold the biography section of the library, where floor to ceiling were shelves holding books on the life's of artists, musicians, historical figures, all the many people of the past with their fascinating stories, thoughts, observations, conclusions of their own life's.
Each time I opened up a new book, a new world, a new soul opened up in front of me, I just needed to step in and live them through in my mind. It felt like I wasn't just living my own life over those years, I was living through multiple life's like being in a multiverse seeing different life circles of different selves one after each other, it really was a magical time of discovery.
Because of those internal experiences, I've managed to stay open and curious to the world around me to this day. And now I'm not in school anymore. In fact I am, but not as a school boy, but as a teacher rather.
I share my curiosity and knowledge with young minds now, aiming to show them the experience of learning how it is really meant to be experienced; by opening doors to new worlds, by picking flowers from the fields of knowledge one at a time, by having time to observe, understand and enjoy their complexity, beauty and meaning.
So those flowers are planted and integrated into the garden of their growing mind, with no fear needed to recall them.
And so they won't lose that magical sense of innocent wonder we're all born with, like I almost did, and keep walking on their paths with open curiosity to the world, to other people, and to themselves.

the city moves, but he stays. a moment caught between reflections and reality, the past and the present. oranges in the foreground, like scattered memories. i pressed the shutter before he looked away.
