In the ETF’s project on migration and skills in Armenia four thousand respondents – mostly people with history of migration - will be interviewed. Here, in the town of Armavir, an interviewer from the Caucasus Research Resource Centre talks to Goyane Hovagimyan, 37, and her husband Yura, 45, who – both unemployed collective-farm workers, consider emigrating to the EU. The ETF survey focuses on skills of migrants. Ummuhan Bardak, a labour market specialist at the ETF who is managing the project, says skills make a big difference in the migration outcome. ‘Skills can facilitate mobility and they can also improve its outcomes, bringing more benefits for the sending countries, for the receiving countries and for the migrants themselves.’

Interview for "Sailabration"
I was side-by-side with photographers at Fort Smallwood Park only 2 miles from my home Tuesday, for the end of the "Sailabration". This was a place where one could see the 40 ships (both naval, and Tall Ships) that had joined in the week's festivities, leaving Baltimore. There were ships from other countries involved in the Sailabration as well. While there, waiting for ships to pass by, the husband and wife team next to me were asked to be interviewed about the event. Only the wife agreed. I asked the photographer if he wanted me out of the frame but he said I could go or stay, so I stayed (hoping to be in the background as they filmed). I decided to whip out my 3D camera during the interview and snap a few shots.
Info about the event.

The surviving Apollo 13 astronauts, commander Jim Lovell and lunar module pilot Fred Haise, along with mission controller Gene Kranz and Apollo 16 command module pilot Ken Mattingly (who was replaced by John Swigert on Apollo 13 due to Mattingly's exposure to rubella) were at the National Air and Space Museum to participate in the John H. Glenn Lecture on the 40th Anniversary of Apollo 13.
