I haven't made anything with the music I do/did. Finally a local promotion agency decides to feature me on their site and interview me. This is the highlight. Thought I'd share on flickr.

Today I was asked to do an interview with Radio Rijnmond 'On the Road' concerning the book I made about nature reserve 'De Kwade Hoek' in the Netherlands.

The interview itself took place in a cramped trailer with the rain pouring outside and a technician (to the left) practically baldeagling my face. And still I managed to sneak a couple of shots in between commercials. It was fun...

Read Interview with Pablo Amaringo with Howard G Charing and Peter Cloudsley at;

www.scribd.com/doc/14091794/Pablo-Amaringo-The-great-Ayah...

Recognized as one of the world’s great visionary artists, Pablo Amaringo was renowned for his intricate, colorful paintings inspired by his shamanic visions. A master communicator of the ayahuasca experience--where snakes, jaguars, subterranean beings, celestial palaces, aliens, and spacecraft all converge--Amaringo’s art presents a doorway to the transcendent worlds of ayahuasca intended for contemplation, meditation, and inspiration.

Pablo Amaringo (1938-2009) trained as a curandero in the Amazon, healing himself and others from the age of ten, but retired in 1977 to become a full-time painter and art teacher at his Usko-Ayar school in Pucullpa, Peru. The author of Ayahuasca Visions: The Religious Iconography of a Peruvian Shaman, his art has been displayed throughout the world.

The new book; The Ayahuasca Visions of Pablo Amaringo, published in April 2011 by Inner Traditions features 48 never before published paintings, by Howard G. Charing and Peter Cloudsley.

At the popular and busy outdoor Clover Market in Chestnut Hill Sunday, a photographer with “Poseybooth” took photos of anyone willing to pose and of at least one unwilling dog. Poseybooth is a modern version of the ubiquitous instant photo booths of yore. But instead of a getting a wet print, those posing received their photos in digital format via text or email. The freebie souvenir appeared to make many people very happy. Watch video here

We were lucky enough to see the Meskal Festival that is dedicated to the true cross. Ethiopians believe that St Helena dreampt that she should build a fire and the smoke would lead her to the true cross, which she did and returned with a piece to Ethiopia. We were very lucky to witness this wonderful and colourful festival and luckier still to manage to get into the midst of it with our cameras and photograph and share the spirit of the festivities with the locals, who seemed to enjoy photographing us on their mobiles as much as we did them.
