The male here has the interrupted marginal stripe of C. repandus, so I'm guessing all of them were that species, since it's supposed to be common and the alternative, C. hirticollis, is uncommon in CT. Still, *most* of the individuals I photographed did not have the interrupted margin.
BugGuide folks think this is actually C. hirticollis: bugguide.net/node/view/526112. Go figure.

Put the studio rehab on hold to paint the front hall and staircase. Need to return this ladder to my folks on Saturday. Will be glad to be rid of the mint green once and for all and am thankful I didn't have to strip wallpaper off this hard-to-reach space.

It got going but was interrupted by some rather sensational rain, about 50mm, so didn't get the full quota of gear going around.

I shot this crab spider (my new favourite subject) around 7:30 PM this evening. I didn't touch the color on this - it was a positively golden sun, shining, on this ORANGE and YELLOW lily - AND, a yellow spider.
