SWIDWIN AIR BASE, Poland -- Soldiers of the Polish army's 6th Airborne Brigade and U.S. Army Europe's 173rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne) stand together in formation to commemorate the 173rd's arrival here, April 23. The 6th -- one of the 173rd's sister units -- will join the Americans in the first in a series of expanded U.S. land force training activities among NATO allies in Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania as part of recently announced exercises to demonstrate U.S. commitment to the alliance and increase interoperability between forces.
