LA-HIP is an internship program that provides students with a "hands on" opportunity to work in a biomedical research lab. The program also guides students through the college application and financial aid process.

"This internship gave me hands on experience in detection with the same equipment that I will be using for independent research this coming year. I took a fundamentals of nuclear engineering class this past spring semester and it was a good opportunity to see current research in the field.
This internship showed me what it’s like to work as an engineering team. There were electrical, mechanical, and nuclear engineers working in the group and they each utilized their skills and worked together to complete the project. The internship also showed the research done by SPAWAR and other facilities to improve the warfighter’s abilities."

The Culinary Job Training program is designed to prepare unemployed, underemployed, previously incarcerated persons, and homeless adults for careers in the food service industry.
