Daniel Debiasi and Federico Sandri of Something Design conceived the Elba collection of padded chairs and armchairs as part of a broader range, with simple, clean-cut forms that are ideal for all public and private settings.
Basic elements are joined together to create a harmonious ensemble, with soft lines that are immaculately balanced with the clear outlines of the chairs. They are almost like shells encasing the body for maximum comfort.
The graceful collection of chairs can fit discreetly into both offices and dining rooms.
The slender, timeless selection is perfect for use in homes, receptions and offices. It can be adapted to suit a range of needs thanks to the different options for the upholstery and bases. For the latter, there is a choice of a four-spoke wooden swivel base or four legs made of steel or solid wood.
My sister Deanne Coles-Christensen is a gifted decorator. I helped her shoot these photos of her incredible home in Santa Fe that she’s sadly leaving after ten years. She's moving to Salt Lake City this week.
Deanne’s philosophy as an interior designer is to use her clients’ existing objects — those items with personal history and meaning — rather than purchase a bunch of new stuff. If you could use some of this beauty in your life, hire her. She’s now available for consultations and no job is too big or small.

Pour is a unique Victorian building, located in the heart of Mount Kisco. Its design inspiration was the Speakeasies of the Prohibition era and its design harkens back to the Golden Age of Hollywood. Owner Anthony Colasacco serves beautiful wine and cocktails in vintage glasses and offers an impressive collection of rare whiskeys (one of the many reasons why Pour is a 9 time winner of the "Best of Westchester" distinction!) Legal capacity inside is 50.

It all began with me wanting to create a modern lamp out of an antique vacuum. The idea of constructing something old into something new and seeing the final product inspired me to create more. My vision and creativity escalated; I am now making 6 different lamp models all from Nilfisk vacuums and parts. The original Nilfask vacuums were sold in Denmark, as well as other countries, before the First World War and into the late 70’s. Whenever I lose interest in making the same lamp form, I continue to push myself outside the box to figure out new ways to transform older vacuums into newer, contemporary models. Over the course of 5 weeks we tore our bathroom down to the studs and had it completely redone. We moved the shower, turned the old shower into a closet, moved the toilet drain so we could get a bigger shower, moved the old tub drain for the new shower, ran plumbing to the other side of the bathroom for the shower head, modified the plumbing to go from one to two vanity sinks, installed can lights for the shower, and of course put in all new fixtures.

My craftsmanship on this was utter crap, but I'm showing this because it's my first concept board and I like my concept. We had to put together a living room based on a period style we'd done papers and presentations for in our Intro to Interior Design class; mine was Art Nouveau. I stuck to the French and Belgian flavor of Art Nouveau, with the organic flower-and-stem curves and motifs as well as colors. (Don't get me wrong, the American, Vienna & Scottish CR Mackintosh stuff is nice too, but the French and Belgian fit my ideas better for the imaginary couple I created this for.)
Not sure why the picture is as dark as it is, since I exposed it correctly, but hopefully all the colors are readable.
