This slideshow features some of the critters we have seen around our place since I started saving digital photos. The slideshow starts in our sewage lagoon and moves on to the yard, various feeders (including bark butter on the Douglas Fir in front of the house) and the water fountain.
Look up into the tree with the ladder leaning against it. That’s a bear discovering that it couldn’t reach the feeders hanging in the tree. I thought I’d outsmarted it. The following photo shows the bear working on its solution to the problem. It got the feeders the next day.
Two of trailcam photos include Northern Flying Squirrels which we have never seen during daylight hours.
One of the insects on the lilac flowers is a Hummingbird Clearwing Moth.
