The exponential growth of data available as an expressive medium and the growing need to open this data for use beyond the laboratory, is reality that we can not ignore. To address this issue, Quadrigram recognizes a company’s needs to design more compact data visualization content, for both internal and external use. In this example, a library managing photographic archives was looking for a richer way of exploring their image files by location on map. In a few days, Quadrigram enabled the company to create a small application, in which the user can navigate and explore an image file through the tags and associated semantic information.

Window from an interactive work forAXA._
The client needed an interactive for pulling information about certain types of investments from a huge array of different types, that could be added and subtracted to the list by various different ways._
The interactive sat on an internal site and was viewable by a limited number of people within the company. It also featured an admin system that allowed more information to be added, editing of existing info and deletion etc._
In terms of design the piece was fairly easy, but in terms of technical authoring required extensive use of OOP programming in actionscript as well as a lot of logic to deal with all the information not to mention the editing facilities._

Octalight is an octagon shape interactive light lantern.
There are two different coloured light displays at the top and bottom on each side of the octagon shape.
The lights on the top half of the octagon shape are activated in sequence from one side of the octagon shape in clockwise manner.
While the lights on the bottom half of the octagon shape are activated in sequence counter-clockwise.
The hand covering the top of the light sensor triggers the light streams. When activated, the top and bottom light stream will be lighted in tandem in clockwise and counterclockwise manner.

Marling is a mass-participation interactive urban spectacle, sited in a public square in Eindhoven, Netherlands, brought to life by the voices of the public.
Your voice creates the space around you, reverberates in many ways long after you have stopped speaking. In Marling the voices of citizens are given form through spectacular effects that hang in the air above the crowd, forming a delicate, intricate ceiling of animated colour. People become players on the urban stage, together bringing the space to life through their actions and sounds, and building a shared public memory of collaboration that, hopefully, will last long after the event.
Note: video footage is original, raw and unprocessed apart from cross-fades between clips. What you see is what you get.
