Petit Chaton trouvé hier , seul, dans un tas de bois .Il était coincé depuis au moins 2 jours. Qui faire? Bien sûr, le sauver au plus vite. Il a 1 mois à peu près. Je suis vite allée chercher du lait maternisé et hop....biberons !!! Lilyl l'a immédiatement pris sous son aile et se l'ai approprié !! Que de douceur dans ses gestes!! Et ce Bébé en a besoin !! Je ne voulais pas le garder mais....comment m'en séparer maintenant? Je ne sais pas si c'est un garçon ou une fille, difficile à voir à cet âge . Mais, si c'est un mâle , je l’appellerai DIEGO .Si c'est une Fille, peut être LOUISE ...

I tend to go in really close with the macro lens and loose the beauty of the setting. This time I tried shots from further out before getting in close.Another Orange Tip [Anthocharis cardamines] captured this morning. Worth a look at full size, for the dew drops.
what a night, i set my alarm to wake me in the wee small hours, despite my brain's instinct to get back in to bed, i explored the night sky a little.
I saw Noctilucent clouds, Comet Neowise, Venus, Mars, the Moon, Saturn, Jupiter and the International Space Station, all within an hour whilst observing lockdown & climbed back into bed just as the dawn chorus was starting.....................

Boo parked himself down on the windowsill for a good long while today, watching the swirling snowflakes with wonder. It's too bad we can't take him out to play. He absolutely loves being in the snow, but traffic is too busy in our neighbourhood, and he won't put up with wearing a harness.
A few years ago, we were fortunate enough to spend several days photographing bears along the river in Alaska. Some were lone bears, but there was also a sow and her 2 juvenile cubs.
She brought them down to the waters edge and kept them obediently by her side for some time. When she felt at ease, she allowed them to enter the river, as she watched clearly in our view, being sure that they were safe. She then retreated and must had settled in, beyond our view, for a quick siesta. After a bit, she emerged and scanned the river and shore for her cubs. It didn't take too long before she had them in her sights again. When she was ready to once again leave, sheapproached her young, huffed some directives at them, then escorted them back into the woods.
It's amazing to witness the sows instinct to protect her young ... at all costs ... and these bears do it so well. Can't wait to get back there to spend time with them again.

I followed my instinct, and I included the pole, I guess it was to make it less usual and more dramatic. When I discovered the scene, I shot it 10 times with different point of view.... you can have a look at another point of view in my new Weblog, which is still at the "beta" stage or if you prefer still in its infancy!

Ci pensate mai a cosa servono i fiori? Superata la stagione fredda, appena possibile e con l'aumentare dell'ernergia solare, le piante si attivano. In modi estremamente vari creano i fiori, meravigliose trappole visive e odorose per attirare gli insetti e sfruttarli per la propria riproduzione. In cambio, offrono nettare e nutrimento. Appena il periodo è finito, si liberano dei petali e di ciò che non serve e iniziano a usare le proprie risorse per creare frutti e semi e riprodursi.
Trovo che questo ciclo biologico pre-programmato sia assolutamente straordinario. Niente male per un piccolo pianeta azzurro vicino ad una stella infuocata in una galassia qualsiasi dell'universo.
E forse, questa cosa dei fiori, delle stagioni, della vita... è accaduta solo qui e in nessun altro luogo, quanto meno con caratteristiche simili.
Quando vedete un fiore, sorridete. Siete fortunat* a poterlo vedere

I live following my instinct.
My instinct tells me to kill.
And my Killing is never senseless. My Killing is the way to survive. My Killing is a grain on the balance that keeps the equilibrium in my world.
I never have remorse. Never had and never will.
I spent my time doing what I had to do to survive.
Nothing less, nothing more.
I had two sons, just one survived, by killing his brother.
I protected the stronger, I let go the wicker.
I did not kill one of my sons I saved one of them.
This was the way of my parents, and this will be the way of my son.
And this is the only way in the world where I live.
