Well, when dawn breaks, the rabbit season will start! Look at Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck being the first beings to announce it!
This is my LEGO version of the McLaren P1. It has around a thousand pieces and it took me 2 weeks to design. The doors and spoiler are functional as the real version. Enjoy!
A Broken Man’s Cry 🌆
This is my inner-city vignette MOC entitled, “Physical: A Broken Man’s Cry” completed around January of 2022. Starting with the chapel, I got the idea to continue with a series of MOCs that are similar in format, shape, and visual language, but distinct different in subject matter. You’ll notice all the bases of the MOCs are slightly different and should match the subject or setting. All 3 also incorporate lighting – something I had not yet worked into many builds prior. In this case, I tried to use it to highlight the subject of the frame, although, the photograph makes it look like a J. J. Abrams movie. Still learning!
This is part 2 in a 3 part series I did of 16x16 vignettes about suffering. This one focuses on physical suffering – highlighted with the homelessness. The whole series I saw as an exercise to really push technique, parts usage, and composition – while trying to tell a story.
The war was nearly finished, we only had to finish off any last droids on the planet Nar Shaddaa. But right when we thought it was over, we had a order from the chancellor:
- 66
We pointed our guns to the jedi, but he was faster! He killed most of my men, he tried to force chock me, but my brothers came just in time and shot him dead.
The troll habitant is starting to look like, well, a troll! Still lots of details to add 😃

Breakfast 🍳
Originally completed in early 2022, this is my Breakfast collection as designed for the WindyCityLUG Food Collaborative. The food that makes up this complete breakfast includes: Toast with Jam 🍞, Hasbrowns , Bacon , Sausage , Over-Easy Egg , and Milk .
Hardest part for this MOC was honestly the photographing - arranging all the components so there was a sense of harmony, picking the correct photo angle, catching the sunlight just right (this was taken in the evening 😉), etc. Think it turned out alright!

During a brief stint in Washington D.C. in 2023, I spent the better part of a summer evening exploring the grounds of Capitol Hill. Few landscapes invite as much inquiry along winding paths paired with plenty of moments for quiet introspection on marble benches; all in picturesque view of the Capitol dome. These on-site experiences are exactly the form of anecdotal justification I seek when considering whether to recreate such monumental places in the first place.
In tackling any work of such storied precedence as the US Capitol, I always seek to expand the conversation beyond existing works in the medium of plastic bricks. While the consistent 1:650 scale among my works has always ensured some level of originality, it is no guarantee of further insight that cannot already be gleaned from existing works by other artists. With this in mind, I set out to capture the full 100-acre site currently maintained by The Architect of the Capitol. What's more, the diorama depicts a particular time of year - specifically late March to early April - as illustrated by the iconic presence of hundreds of cherry blossoms rendered in two shades of light pink.
The diorama starts downhill at the trapezoidal Capitol Reflecting Pool, with the Grant Memorial taking pride of place along its eastern edge and the US Botanic Garden across the street to the south. The diorama expands from there, capturing the radiating pathways meandering uphill, as designed by Frederick Law Olmsted within the parcels laid out in the city plan by Pierre Charles L'Enfant. The piece culminates with the widely imitated US Capitol Building, perched atop a plinth projecting from the Capitol Visitor Center on the opposite side.
Topping everything off is a custom-made representation of the Statue of Freedom (as designed by Thomas Crawford), steadfastly overlooking the National Mall from atop the dome. The statue was designed in collaboration with BigKidBrix and was sized comparably to the minifigure statuette / trophy element.
The piece was designed over the course of about two months: first in December 2023 through January 2024, paused during the build-out of SPQR - Phase II, then resumed between March and April. The build-out lasted from July through August and was completed by September. The piece will soon be added to my personal gallery of works, now available for touring exhibitions.

The #digitaldesign of the #LEGO #gnome was completed with some slight tweaks to the sculpt of the face and hair, and all LDD pieces in position. I planned the model to only use #legoelements already on hand- only needed to order a couple of #LEGO pieces for the #iPhone !
.
With that, the model design was finished and ready to be built! I’ll share a couple of those shots next update and that’ll do it for this model! #staytuned

Twin Peaks Tribute 🗻🗻
"Diane, 11:30 AM, February 24th. Entering the town of Twin Peaks, five miles south of the Canadian border, twelve miles west of the state line. I’ve never seen so many trees in my life. As W. C. Fields would say, I’d rather be here than Philadelphia. Fifty-four degrees on a slightly overcast day. Weatherman said rain."
Here's my Twin Peaks tribute - a sendoff to the greatest soap opera ever made and the hit cult classic. A mix of different scales & building styles, really fun to build once the idea was worked out. Completed in April 2022. I got the idea to finally do a Twin Peaks MOC when my sister gifted me The Secret History of Twin Peaks by Mark Frost. Great read!
From top to bottom and left to right, the scenes/characters represented are: The Great Northern Hotel run by Benjamin Horne, the entrance to Owl Cave, entrance to the Black Lodge, the Black Lodge / Red Room, The Arm (The Return), the Falls, Black Coffee, Cherry Pie, Laura Palmer (Dead, Wrapped in LEGO bag Plastic), a Donut, and of course the Fish in the Percolator.
Initially I wanted to do the Black Lodge / Red Room - but @dylanlaneart already did a great version - check out his vignette for that. I did copy the floor though 😉
Fortunate enough to have visited many Twin Peaks locations when I was in Washington State in 2019 including the Twin Peaks High School (now destroyed), the Double R, the Roadhouse, the Falls, the Great Northern (Salish Spa), & the Police Station (now DirtFish Stunt Rally School).

A Priest’s Prayer 🙏
This is my chapel vignette MOC entitled, “Spiritual: A Priest’s Prayer” completed around December of 2021. I’ve always loved visiting churches all across the country – some of my favorites are St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the Basilica of the National Shrine of Immaculate Conception, and the Church of the Intercession, among others. This chapel is an homage and blend of typical architecture found in old churches, without specifically taking after one real-world example.
This is part 1 in a 3 part series I did of 16x16 vignettes about suffering. The whole series I saw as an exercise to really push technique, parts usage, and composition – while trying to tell a story. Each one of them focuses on one subject and has a unique lighting component. They’re also all kind of tall? Just turned out that way. At shows, some people think the priest is praying, others crying. Crafting the priest took a significant amount of time trying to get the articulation and limbs just right. Rubber band magic! :)
The two “paintings” in the MOC are one of Jesus Christ and the other of St. Nikolai II Alexandrovich Romanov. Both were sourced online, resized, and then run through the “mosaic” filter on Microsoft Word (yes, really), printed, laminated, and cut. I found the filter gives the images a mosaic-like appearance that’s congruent with the Lego style – almost as if the minfigs made a mosaic in-universe.
