Because I do nearly everything in 3s, this is the first MOC in a mixel-joint-based miniland plus series with heavy emphasis on color and emotion. The vignette takes up a ~32x32 footprint in a circle. Completed in March 2023. Only uses the following colors: Black, Dark Blue, Dark Azure, Medium Azure, Dark Bley, Light Bley, Light Aqua, and White. Won Best Vignette at Brickworld Chicago 2023. The Dino Tail addiction is real.
What was only supposed to be a series of 3 models, spun into a total of 6. This is my 4th build in my "Moments of Melancholy" series. While all the others had some sort of direct inspiration, whether a song or a piece of artwork, this one was just off the dome.
Only uses the colors white, light bley, dark bley, black, red, dark red, and coral. Model started in August 2023, finished in May 2024, and photographed in March of 2025. The top petals use ~10 sets of the dragon wings from set 70653 Firstbourne (Part # 38765 on Bricklink).
Call me old-fashioned, but viewing Brick Art and Lego creations at Flickr is just more enjoyable.

RIP New York LEGO Lair 2020-2023
The best shot ever taken of our basement LEGO lair is also the last one I’ll probably ever post of it, since it’s from our real estate listing. Yep, we’re moving again!
I’ve accepted a job offer to replace the outgoing LEGO Model Shop Manager at LEGOLAND Florida!
This is a completely unexpected opportunity for my family and I; we certainly didn’t plan to leave LEGOLAND New York so soon, much less BACK to Florida, but it’s a genuinely unique career development I couldn’t pass up. It comes with a very bittersweet cost of leaving yet another amazing model shop team of Master Builders and friends.
As you can imagine our lives have been effectively turned upside down for the last month. We’ve already accepted an offer on our NY home and are under contract for a home in Florida with the goal of being in place for our four kids to start the fall semester on time in Mid August.

Alrik Greybeard once lived somewhere high up in the snowy mountains. He was an old dwarf who had already been on countless raids. Alrik, who was commonly called Alrik Greybeard, had decided to make one last journey in his old age. He wanted to meet all of his friends once again, whom he had met on his travels. And, it must be said, Alrik was never averse to adventures that might arise along the way... up here, in the mountains, that is where Alrik's last journey begins.

The greatest team on superhero history is back! The Justice League is here once again, after a grand mission here they are celebrating the fact that they have saved the world. As a team, it is a better way to save Justice to the world and protect the civilians from danger, as they have shown this with true teamwork. So, what's next for them? The last return to Hogwarts in Harry Potter - The Deathly Hallows - part II is without doubt the best of the all returns to the school and my favorite one. Despite this scene has the coolest “war code” message ever, warning every student that Harry has came back to the school of wizardry, it also happens in one of the most important places of all the saga - ” If you have to ask, you’ll never know. The Room of Requirement was every time the place where Harry had the opportunity to change his game against the dark magic of “we know who”. The place where the Dumbledore’s Army was born and where most of the wizard friends of Harry train them selfs to be better with magic.
