(from my favorite anime Star Blazers.)
By now you must have realized that I'm not good at coming up with creative or good titles..
Tried experimenting a bit here.. wanted that painting on canvas look that I recently saw in pictures of a few contacts, which obviously was the insipiration here... I'll leave it up to you guys to tell me how I did..
Again, no post crop whatsoever, so viewing in large may help you find the glitches I missed. Yes, I admit there is camera shake 'coz there was no way I could take this picture with camera on a tripod... the water was really cold!!!!
Again, have a great weekend.

Heavily inspired by this piece of concept art by Nidaram.
Well I did it again. Nidaram is one of my favorite Robot/Mech artists, and this is my second stab at one of his designs (the first is here).
It's one of the sturdiest Mechs I've done, and by that I mean it didn't try to fall apart on me whenever I posed it for a photo. It was fun doing a non combat (nonsensical?) Mech.
Nidaram, keep the odd robots flowing, thanks for the insipiration!

Seth's Mum wanted to show her little angel off! - so here he is sat at the foot of a rainbow - a true little pot of gold!
The cake ideas were Seth's Mum's, but the cake was truly bought to life by a few little insipirations from wonderful sugar artists here on flickr .....
I must ask Chris to take a bow! ... her delightful cake topper
reminded me that numbers can be bright and cheerful! (my number 1 is pretending to be the sun!). My number was cut free hand - I think it came out rather well!
Next up is the wonderful Andrea, her patchwork cakes are awesome, but these simple, yet effective clouds were heavily inspired by one of her most recent Toy Story cakes!
And last, but by no means least, I thank, AGAIN! the wonderful Lorraine .... for the inspiration of these wonderful faces! ....... If you want to make faces like this you simply HAVE to buy Lorraine's tutorial on making heads!
'heads up tutorial' it's the best money I ever spent! ...
The cake is a 7 inch rich chocolate cake with chocolate fudge filling.
The cake is mounted off centre on a 10 inch board.
All modelling is free hand in fondant with added CMC.
All colours used are sugarflair.
I'm playing with a watermark since I have had yet more cake photos stolen this week and pased off as someone elses work.
This isn't the best watermark in the world, but then I'm not the most photo savvy person!!.

:) so Ethan and Boris came up with this spanking new OPML-based & Google Co-op driven search feature for GV and i took it for a test drive in the most fun fashion possible:
"i googled for porn @ Global Voices Online"
Out comes blog postings from Amit Agrawal - Digital Insipiration, Joho Blog, etc. We live in an exciting world now, don't we?
Other interesting keywords i used while googling @ GV:
Might need to have those as "related searches" i guess, but it sure makes a good joke blog posting though :P
i wonder if the gv authors' images that show up with the search results in the top-right corner of the page have anything to do with the search keywords, i've been told by someone that the search feature wasn't tied into the images' rotator script... but am still waiting to hear from Ethan and Boris on the image rotation + keyword search
If you haven't checked it out yet, go & grok @:

I MADE THIS JULY 15TH,2009!
It reads;I'm gonna be in the 12th grade neXt year...Back in April we had to take a mandatory test that we HAVE to pass in order to graduate and I failed ;/.I 've been in school for an extra month because we had to get prepared for a retake. The other day I was watching a video when he was performing ALBL,black keys<3 Theres a part where he starts talking about Hardships and that they dont last forever...I fell asleep and that night I had a dream where he told me I was gonna pass..so this morning I walked into the testing room with the most confidence i've ever had and gave that test my all....Knowing somewhere in my dreams my guardian Angel was with me <3 Thanks for everything..I love you Nick J

I was rather proud of my rainbow and with such a small cake it got hidden behind clouds - so here it is in all its glory!

yuzu vinaigrette + pickled ginger + cucumber + black sesame + shiso ($17)
Meticulously plated by Chef Andrew Wilson.
Cubes of hamachi lightly tossed in calamansi vinaigrette then artfully paired with:
avocado puree
cauliflower puree
puffed tapioca
black sesame powder
black sesame pearls
julienned scallion greens
compressed cucumber
calamansi vinaigrette
Ontario radish rounds
pickled ginger (thin orange rolls)
pickled cauliflower
shiso cress
thai basil cress
coriander cress
Cookstown Greens flowers
One thing to note is that the plating and ingredients do vary depending on the insipiration (perhaps freshness factor of the fish) of the day. Fish may be replaced with salmon, tuna or snapper however the Asian elements are always laced within the dish.

To desire and strive to be of some service to the #world, to aim at doing something which shall really increase the #happiness and #welfare and #virtue of mankind - this is a choice which is possible for all of us; and surely it is a #good haven to sail for.
There is only one way to get ready for #immortality, and that is to #love this life and live it as #bravely and #faithfully and cheerfully as we can.
The first day of spring is one thing, and the first #spring day is another. The difference between them is sometimes as great as a month.
A sweet 4-tiered chocolate cake covered in smooth vanilla fondant. This French inspired design is elegant with a touch of whimsy. Topped with the cutest cake topper I have ever seen! Tres joli!
Assignment: PCA23 - Food - Shoot something scrummy
Deadline: April 13, 2008
www.flickr.com/groups/473537@N20/discuss/72157604413331137/
Misson: Good images of food make you wanna break out the saucepans and apron, whilst making your mouth water (well do me anyway)
This assigment is to take a Shot of delilicious foods that you like to cook.
My idea is to create a PCA cookbook with your favourite recipies, snacks or deserts. If your not the cooking type you my use your favourite takeaway or the person that does the cooking in your home.
Along with your shot try to include the recipe if at all possible (in the WIT)
The hope of this assignment is to see an image your really want to eat, and with the recipe be able to try it out for real.
Inspiration: Do check out any website / magazines and cookbooks for insipiration, or that recipe youve always wanted to try but never got round to!!
WIT: Well..this may not look too appetizing but it sure tastes good.
My wife made these Waikiki Meatballs tonight for the inlaws. I put the camera on a tripod and put the plate on a white foam board. I decided the image looked to white, so i added the backbround wood texture. I got that today (It was the side of a house).
I will add the recipe later since my wife went to bed . We had a debate on which plate to use and how to arrange the food. She chose another arrangement and I will upload that later to the outtakes.
oh..I also forgot to add that my wife wanted me to drizzle some of the sauce on the side of the plate and make a nice design with it. But, that failed miserably. Just looked too messy. So, I had to wipe it off with a napkin :)
OK. Ive further modified the title with the addition of "weight watchers version".
Now, if you eat all 5 of these meatballs and the pineapples and rice, you shouldnt get tooo fat. And, for you weight watchers people, I have no idea how many "points" are in there. The flower is supposed to keep your mind off desert.
When once you have tasted #flight you will always walk the #earth with your #eyes turned skyward: for there you have been and there you will always be.
Dedicated to Christy Tomlinson, Ronda Palazzari, Tim Holtz and Stéphanie Ackerman for their insipiration on creating this canvas.
Chef Andrew Wilson was the creative force behind the "daily sashimi" plate for this TorontoLife.com feature (yes, this was an arranged session). This series is dedicate to chef's efforts that afternoon.

There is a loftier #ambition than merely to stand high in the #world. It is to #stoop down and lift mankind a #little higher.
