This was up on the balcony of the riverfront restaurant that we went for dinner during our first day of our trip to New Orleans. I never had Po'Boy until recently so now I am now hooked! Crawfish and Catfish are both pretty amazing. Here in Memphis we have a little shop called Soul Fish Cafe and they serve really good Po'Boy.
This next few weeks gonna past really quick before summer break hit, so I gotta stay focus! haha...oh dear we gonna see how that goes.

Anche adesso, dopo tutto questo tempo, ogni tanto mi ricordo ancora del giardino dove passavo le mie giornate estive d'infanzia. Quando finiva la scuola venivo parcheggiato da mia nonna: mia madre mi ci portava la mattina presto e poi veniva a prendermi la sera, prima di cena.
Mia nonna abitava in un piccolo condominio tutto di mattoni in un quartiere tranquillo, molto verde e pieno di villette. La mattina facevo i compiti, con mia nonna che non so quanto ci capisse, ma comunque controllava che almeno un paio di pagine al giorno facessi. Poi verso mezzogiorno si mangiava: appena finito mi precipitavo giù dalle scale e attraversavo il parcheggio condominiale: tra due pareti di legno intravedevo già il giardino. Tranquillo, cintato su tre lati da siepi altissime aveva, in fondo, una casetta che serviva come deposito e che era sempre chiusa. Un grande salice dava ombra e fresco. Era bello sdraiarcisi sotto e vedere il sole che filtrava tra le foglie.
Ai lati c'erano anche quattro tavolini con sedie e, verso metà pomeriggio, mia nonna ed altre inquiline scendevano e si sedevano a vedere giocare me e gli altri bambini del condominio.
C'era anche il barbecue e ogni tanto, la sera, c'era questo signore che lo usava. Una volta all'anno facevano anche la grigliata condominiale, ma io non ci sono mai andato.
Mi piaceva quel giardino. Era sempre molto curato. Forse per questo per anni ho sognato di fare il giardiniere.
Yesterday I was in the mood for a sunset, so I went to a new location to have a look. I was hesitating at first where to go - to the old location where I know for sure there's a sunset view or a new location where I know nothing and haven't seen great photos from there.
Lately, I'm training my intuition and listening to it. So I went to the new location despite all odds being against it. And you know what? The best views were North-East, not West or North-West! The ol' good location wouldn't have NE views and I'd miss out.
Listen to yourself.
Even if you do wrong at least you didn't betray that insight.
in the morning I felt clearly that the dying body is really nothing but an outer shell, almost like a set of clothes, having absolutely nothing to do with what the essence of the person is, and that this essence is really shared by all, but on behalf of our beliefs and upbringing we identify with the body and the mind. Really what you find in another is truly you, the I, the Self. Give to another and you give to yourself, - take a way from another and you take away from yourself...

One of the insights I gained from a week long workshop with Jay Masiel a year ago was to use reflections and unusual perspectives to try to fool the eye. This creates interest as we naturally try to figure the image out. I have since looked for opportunities to try this technique of which Masiel and other masters are so skilled at using.
This image is of a shiny ceiling at an airport which was then inverted vertically so the figures would appear upright.

On 5 May 2018, ESA's 35 m-diameter deep-space radio dish at New Norcia, Western Australia, monitored NASA’s InSight spacecraft providing critical tracking support during launch and early operations on its journey to Mars.
ESA’s New Norcia station maintained contact with InSight and its two MarCOs CubeSats as backup to NASA’s own Deep Space Network ground station at Canberra, on the easterly side of the continent.
“NASA requested our support because, at this time of year, the southern hemisphere has very good visibility of the trajectory to Mars,” explained Daniel Firre, the Agency’s ESA-NASA cross-support service manager.
“This meant our Australia station was ideally located to provide back-up support to their DSN station at Canberra.”
New Norcia will also be involved in monitoring Insight’s Mars touchdown on 26 November.
ESA’s deep-space station at Malargüe, Argentina, also in the southern hemisphere, worked in coordination with New Norcia to provide additional tracking coverage on launch day.
Since inauguration in March 2003, New Norcia station has been used for communications with Mars Express, Rosetta, Venus Express and Gaia, among other ESA and partner agency missions.

I saw this woman in Sal Rei, the capital of Boa Vista, Cape Verde. It got me thinking as to how much we take for granted in the modernised world. If we want fish, we go to the supermarket and get it filleted and/or breaded/battered however the majority of people on our planet have to catch it, gut it and then cook it. Count your blessings.
