This turned into quite a fascinating experience as just after I decided where I was going to set up for the evening quite a few students from the University of Falmouth rocked up who were doing a photography degree.
After they took a few shots of what their chosen subjects were they came over to have a chat.
We had quite an exchange of ideas and techniques which was a real insight, however what they were talking about sounded like rocket science to me.
Once they started talking shutter speeds and f stops, I said hang on a minute I know about the bus stop down by the beach, odd how humour is a wonderful leveller and from that point on some of the jokes these girls and boys came out with were an education in itself.
Once all the laughter from various stories subsided and lots of aching ribs later, their bus had arrived to collect them, I said it is a shame you cannot hang around to get some sun set shots, to which one said, ‘we will defiantly be back’.
What a great bunch they were.
Thank you so much for looking at my shots, hope you enjoy them as much as I do taking them.
Any comments and faves are very much appreciated😎
2005 Chandra observations revealed new details about the fiery ring surrounding the stellar explosion that produced Supernova 1987A. The data give insight into the behavior of the doomed star in the years before it exploded, and indicate that the predicted spectacular brightening of the circumstellar ring has begun.
Supernova 1987A occurred in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a galaxy only 160,000 light years from Earth. The outburst was visible to the naked eye, and is the brightest known supernova in almost 400 years. Optical hot-spots (pink-white) now encircle the ring like a necklace of incandescent diamonds. The Chandra data (blue-purple) reveals multimillion-degree gas at the location of the optical hot-spots.

When you touch the celestial in your heart, you will realize that the beauty of your soul is so pure, so vast and so devastating that you have no option but to merge with it.
You have no option but to feel the rhythm of the universe in the rhythm of your heart.

Yesterday I was in the mood for a sunset, so I went to a new location to have a look. I was hesitating at first where to go - to the old location where I know for sure there's a sunset view or a new location where I know nothing and haven't seen great photos from there.
Lately, I'm training my intuition and listening to it. So I went to the new location despite all odds being against it. And you know what? The best views were North-East, not West or North-West! The ol' good location wouldn't have NE views and I'd miss out.
Listen to yourself.
Even if you do wrong at least you didn't betray that insight.

in the morning I felt clearly that the dying body is really nothing but an outer shell, almost like a set of clothes, having absolutely nothing to do with what the essence of the person is, and that this essence is really shared by all, but on behalf of our beliefs and upbringing we identify with the body and the mind. Really what you find in another is truly you, the I, the Self. Give to another and you give to yourself, - take a way from another and you take away from yourself...

Robert the Bruce - Wetherspoons pub. Dumfries, Scotland.
Dumfries is a market town and former royal burgh in the south of Scotland, located in the region of Dumfries and Galloway. The town is situated on the banks of the River Nith, and has a rich history and cultural heritage.
Dumfries was an important trading centre in medieval times, and played a key role in Scotland's wars of independence. The town's most famous resident was the Scottish poet Robert Burns, who spent the last years of his life in Dumfries and is buried in the local churchyard.
Today, visitors to Dumfries can explore the town's many historic landmarks and attractions. These include the ruins of Dumfries Castle, which dates back to the 13th century and played an important role in Scottish history; the Burns Mausoleum, where Robert Burns is buried; and the Robert Burns Centre, which houses a museum dedicated to the poet's life and works.
Other popular attractions in Dumfries include the Dock Park, a beautiful public park with gardens, play areas, and sports facilities; the Dumfries Museum, which offers a fascinating insight into the history of the town and the wider region; and the Theatre Royal, a restored Victorian theatre that hosts a wide range of performances and events throughout the year.
Dumfries is also a great base for exploring the surrounding countryside, which is home to a wealth of natural beauty, including rolling hills, rugged coastline, and tranquil lochs. Visitors can enjoy a range of outdoor activities, such as hiking, fishing, and cycling, as well as explore the many picturesque villages and towns that dot the landscape.
