Though not perfectly matched (not enough fabric) I think this worked out real well...

Members of the Virginia Defense Force support the Apple Blossom Festival May 3, 2013, in Winchester. More than 120 members of the all-volunteer VDF from units across the state augmented local law enforcement by operating traffic control points throughout the city and providing mission command and sustainment support out of the Virginia National Guard's Cherry-Beasley Readiness Center. After mustering and conducting administrative inprocessing and health checks, members of the VDF were sworn in as special deputies by the Winchester Sheriff, then deployed across the city to set up TCPs to help ensure traffic flow for an event that is expected to bring tens of thousands of visitors to the Winchester area. Another imperfect, made from scraps of scraps (16 pieces instead of 8, and not perfectly matched), that I still like and think will work up fine in a full quilt.

Nut roasting plant freshly roasted nuts at the end of the roasting process before packing

it's in there somewhere.

I sew like this way too often, with current projects piled on top of only until very recently current projects and my scissors hidden in there somewhere along with the zipper I need for this current on-the-top project and maybe my phone, too.

The "perfect" one... Well, as close as I got this time around... My favorite, that best demonstrates what this technique can create. I like this one well enough to use as a center medallion...
