Another try of a kind of splash...hmm...I don't know, how to call it. No matter! My first try with "Ink and water". I hope you like it.
And I go on saturday in the holidays for 3 weeks. But I hope to take some nice photos in Saint Petersburg/Russia. Should be a nice city. =)

A shaggy ink cap mushroom in perfect condition. They don't last long in this state before they curl up and start to drip their ink. There were quite a few of these mushrooms in a small patch of long grass and this was the only one in this condition, the others had peaked and were dripping all over the grass.
Just while I was taking this image the sun came out and cast light upon the scene.
.......... bottle. Shot this old Sheaffer's Skrip ink bottle a lot of times before finally cropping down to this one. Tried with no ink. Then with a little ink in the bottom and well but it looked like a, well, an ink blob. Then tried this one with just a bit of ink in the well. Seemed to work.
completely my design (simple, yes, but perfect).
The tattoo artist did absolutely nothing to it, but size it for me.
It is so perfect, and people are now approaching me to do designs for them. Very surreal.

Echinacea - or coneflower - is a popular perennial plant that blossoms in Ottawa-Gatineau from mid-July to early September. Most people are accustomed with the variety that has purple flowers but there are many others with bold colours and slightly different blossoms. Right now, we're at the height of the floral season and it's a great pleasure to work in the garden (pulling weeds) and, when time permits, to sketch some colourful plants. The coneflower that I sketched had a mixture of purple and red-orange blossoms. I decided to illustrate it with a background of lavender - using a new tube of paint that I just bought!

L'échinacée, ou rudbeckie, est une plante vivace populaire qui fleurit dans la région d'Ottawa-Gatineau de la mi-juillet au début septembre. La plupart des gens connaissent la variété à fleurs violettes, mais il en existe bien d'autres aux couleurs vives et aux fleurs légèrement différentes. En ce moment, nous sommes en pleine floraison et c'est un vrai plaisir de jardiner (désherber) et, quand j'ai le temps, de dessiner quelques plantes colorées. L'échinacée que j'ai dessinée avait des fleurs mêlant violet et rouge-orangé. J'ai décidé de l'illustrer sur un fond lavande - avec un nouveau tube de peinture que je viens d'acheter !

I live about 15 minutes from this spot, and every time there is a sunset in Newcastle I think about whether this place will have the perfect sunset ive been waiting for. I think this photo is close... it has the great reflections and misty/fog in the distance, so it'll be hard to top. I need some new locations close to home...
These three ink caps were growing inside a rotting tree stump. The trunk is hollow apart from close to the ground where these are growing.
Got some Ink in LV, so did the dear wife...a first experience for both of us. I guess you can say we lost our tattoo virginity in Vegas. Ha! Photos shall come later, but both jobs were near and dear to our hearts.
