The boat houses at the Obersee, which is a smaller lake at the southern tip of the Königssee in Germany, are famous among instagram influencers and photographers alike. When you arrive early you may avoid at least the former. This morning a cow seemed to make fun of what would become a popular photo opportunity only hours later. Well played.

Thai culture, strongly influenced by Buddhism (at least in the parts of the country I've visited so far), is one of the reasons why I'm so enthusiastic about this country.
And so it's no coincidence that I visited so many temples during my trip in October.
Some, of course, because of their location ore for their beautiful architecture, but others, like Wat Pa Tha Makham in Ratchaburi, were for me to delve deeper into the spiritual aspect of these places.
And so, in the coming months and years, I hope to learn much more about Buddhism and the Buddhist perspective on the world and life.
And no, this photo isn't staged. I simply took advantage of an opportunity to capture this scene.
Die Thailändische Kultur, stark geprägt vom Buddhismus (zumindest in den Landesteilen, in denen ich bisher war), ist einer der Gründe, warum ich von diesem Land so begeistert bin.
Und so ist es auch kein Zufall, dass ich bei meiner Reise im Oktober so viele Tempel besucht habe.
Manche natürlich wegen ihrer Lage oder der wunderschönen Architektur doch andere, wie hier den Wat Pa Tha Makham in Ratchaburi um mich mehr mit dem spirituellen Aspekt dieser Ort auseinander zu setzen.
Und so hoffe ich in den nächsten Monaten und Jahren noch viel mehr über den Buddhismus und die buddhistische Sichweise auf die Welt und das Leben lernen zu können.
Und nein, dieses Foto ist nicht gestellt. Ich hab nur eine Gelegenheit genutzt, um diese Szene festzuhalten.

Nicole: (suspicious) Why?
Kiley: (grins) We're not painting.
Skyler: It's for the transformation. In case we spill stuff.
Nicole: What could you spill?
Kiley: There's the concealer, it's liquid, and cover powder sprinkles, and the activation fluid is fluid. (the girls laugh) We just don't want to make a mess, Mom.
Nicole: Well, thank you for thinking about that. (smiles) I think your dad left it in the garage. Check in the green bin, under the work bench.
Kiley: Thanks, Mom!

Nicole: A what?
Skyler: (explains) It's a makeover, Mrs. Davis.

My first time photographing this location and I have tried to not be influenced by other shots so deliberately avoided looking at other peoples images from here. I have tried to keep it simple and as minimalist as possible hope you enjoy viewing it and feel free to share your thoughts

The left side of the image features a row of ornate palazzi, likely dating back to the Renaissance or Baroque periods. The Palace of Charles V is a Renaissance building in Granada, southern Spain, inside the Alhambra, a former Nasrid palace complex on top of the Sabika hill. Construction began in 1527 but dragged on and was left unfinished after 1637. The palace was only completed after 1923, when Leopoldo Torres Balbás initiated its restoration. The building has never been a home to a monarch and stood roofless until 1967. Today, the building also houses the Alhambra Museum on its ground floor and the Fine Arts Museum of Granada on its upper floor.
The palace commissioned by Charles V in the middle of the Alhambra was designed by Pedro Machuca, an architect who had trained under Michelangelo in Rome and who was steeped in the culture of the Italian High Renaissance and of the artistic circles of Raphael and Giulio Romano. It was conceived in a contemporary Renaissance style or "Roman" style with an innovative design reflecting the architectural ideals of this period. The architecture espoused by Charles V in Spain at this time was also influenced by, among other traditions, the Plateresque style. The construction of a monumental Italian or Roman-influenced palace in the heart of the Nasrid-built Alhambra symbolized Charles V's imperial status and the triumph of Christianity over Islam achieved by his grandparents.
Construction of the palace began in 1527. After Machuca's death in 1550 it was continued by his son Luis, who finished the facades and built the internal courtyard. Work was halted for 15 years when the 1568 Morisco Rebellion began. Work was still unfinished when Philip IV visited in 1628 and the project was finally abandoned in 1637, leaving the structure without a roof. As a result, the palace deteriorated in the following centuries, during which it was used as a storage facility for gunpowder and other materials. During the Peninsular War, when French troops occupied the Alhambra between 1810 and 1812, the French soldiers stripped any wooden furnishings they could find inside the palace in order to make fires.
The palace was only completed after 1923, when Leopoldo Torres Balbás initiated its restoration. The roof of the building was finally completed in 1967. A small "Arab museum" was first installed in the building in 1928. In 1942 it became the Archeological Museum of the Alhambra and in 1995 it became the current "Alhambra Museum", housed on the ground floor. In 1958 another museum, the Fine Arts Museum of Granada, was installed on the upper floor.

Jacopo Tintoretto, also known as Jacopo Robusti, was an Italian Renaissance painter associated with the Venetian school. His energetic approach to painting earned him the nickname "Il furioso" (The Furious). Tintoretto's influence extended beyond his time, even inspiring Impressionist artists.
The Baptism of Christ, painted around 1580, is one of Tintoretto's notable works. Housed in the Church of San Pietro Martire in Murano, it depicts the biblical scene of Jesus' baptism. The composition features three angels and the dove representing the Holy Spirit, illuminating Jesus as John the Baptist pours water over his head. Tintoretto's dramatic use of perspective and light foreshadows the Baroque style.
The new, but somewhat temporary lights on the Bay Bridge are almost mesmerizing to watch. The display is only up for the next two years. Although the computer generated patterns repeat over the course of a few minutes, each visit brings different conditions for which to view them. The fog layer was very low here creating a canopy of light to set off another lovely Bay Area evening.

At 144 feet, Dettifoss is impressive to say the least. The spray alone forms hundreds of mini waterfalls on the west side of the canyon as well as influences the entire habitat of the west side. Notice the east side of the canyon is dry and rocky and the west side is green and lush far into the distance.
The roar of the falls greets you the moment you leave your car, long before you make the short hike down to the cliffs.

A stone and wood watchtower stands guard over the road into Ambarvale in southern Mitgardia. The stands of birch that sound the tower are golden yellow in the late autumn sun. Soon winter will arrive and the road is busy with people preparing for the first snow.
Built for the tower category of Guild's of Historica's anniversary challenge. I've been wanting to return to some castle builds for some time and with a tower category this seemed the perfect opportunity! Influenced heavily by Isaac Snyder's Riften Watchtower.
