I was struck by the reflection of the blue sky in the polished stainless of the Infinity scupture in front of the Museum of American History. There is a lot of grain/noise in this picture because I forgot to change the ISO back to 200 from the 800 I was shooting in the museum.
This photograph was taken at the Cycle of Songs rehearsal for the piece entitled 'Infinity', composed by Peter Gregson, at Emmanuel College on 12th June 2014. This was sung by a composite choir of singers mainly from Women of Note and ReSound.

Infinity Bridge, Stockton-on-Tees.
Rushed out after finishing work to walk the dogs and saw a great rainbow over the Infinity Bridge. It stayed visible until I got home and grabbed a camera. Rushed out without a tripod and got to the bridge just as the rainbow faded. The sunset of course turned out to be fantastic just when I needed a tripod! Images a bit noisy due to high ISO.

nfinity Fidget Bracelet by Emily L. J. Boyd (Stirling Silver and 9ct Gold)
I made something else over Christmas, for my dad to give gran. The fidget bracelets were actually kind of inspired by gran, and her ability to wear more bracelets than anyone I know and indeed her inability to sit still, so the bracelets I call fidget all have kinetic elements which run around the band.
I've been wanting to do one as an infinity bracelet for a while so this was my excuse.

The highlight of our trip to the Paloma Club Sultan in Ozdere Turkey last August was definitely this pool. We were lucky to have an apartment right near it and spent a vast majority of our time there. Not a view you tire of!

The infinity sign is etched in the night by the incandescent glow of a sparkler. The golden color is likely due to iron being oxidized by potassium nitrate oxidant at extremely high temperatures, ~ 1500 K (about 2700 degrees Fahrenheit). The sparkler's color partly results from the characteristic blackbody radiation emitted by an object at that temperature. In addition, a diffraction grating would reveal light emitted by iron electrons going from higher-energy to lower-energy states.

An infinity pool, also known as a vanishing edge pool or a zero-edge pool, is a swimming pool design concept that creates the illusion of water extending to the horizon or blending seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. The defining feature of an infinity pool is its edge, which is designed to be visually undetectable, giving the impression that the pool extends infinitely.
Infinity pools are typically built on elevated locations, such as hilltops or cliff edges, where the edge of the pool can overlook a scenic view such as the ocean, a lake, or a city skyline. The pool is constructed with one or more edges that are slightly lower than the water level, allowing the water to flow over and into a catch basin or trough. From the vantage point of someone in the pool or looking at it, the water appears to blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape or body of water, creating a stunning visual effect.
These pools are designed to give a sense of infinite space and a feeling of being connected with the natural surroundings. They are often associated with luxury resorts, high-end hotels, and upscale residences, as they require specific engineering and design considerations to achieve the desired effect. The construction of an infinity pool involves careful calculations to ensure that the water flows evenly over the edge and is collected and recirculated properly.
Infinity pools are favored for their aesthetic appeal, creating a striking visual experience that enhances the overall ambiance of a location. They offer a unique swimming experience, as if one is swimming into the horizon or floating above the landscape.
