On Sept. 10 at the New Castle County Public Safety Building, Governor Carney signed three bills aimed at fighting the addiction epidemic and saving lives in Delaware, giving credit to advocates for their "consistent message to us to do what we need to do." All three bills are priorities of the Behavioral Health Consortium, led by Lt. Gov. Bethany Hall-Long, and are part of that group's Three-Year Action Plan. The bills, sponsored by Sens. Stephanie Hansen and Bryan Townsend and Reps. David Bentz and Helene Keeley, will:
•Create the nation's first overdose system of care to improve care, treatment and survival of patients who overdose.
•Link specific patient care data related to overdose collected by DHSS' Office of Emergency Medical Services or the state epidemiologist with data in the Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP).
•Encourage prescribers and patients to use proven non-opioid methods of treating back pain.
Dr. Karyl Rattay, director of DHSS' Division of Public Health, said the complex opioid crisis requires a complex response in reducing its impact. She said the overdose system of care will better equip first responders and better connect people suffering non-fatal overdoses with treatment options. Dr. Sandra Gibney, an emergency department physician at St. Francis, said in every hospital in Delaware people who suffer an overdose are “given a single dose of Narcan and go home often within an hour." She told Governor Carney, "We will build an overdose system of care.”

In the summer of 2001 I had the opportunity to go to Thailand to teach physics to Thai students for 6 weeks. During that time there was a huge festival and a bank holiday. A friend who lived locally took me on a tour to a Thai temple called a Wat.
At festivals like these many people take the opportunity to take part in activities that improve their karma. This woman has paid the man some money to release captive birds into the wild. My friend told me that very often these birds are tamed so they return to their cages each day!

In addition to "IS" Canon improve this lens by: bigger front element,
better damping for the zooming and focusing, and focus closer.
Improved image using Canon's own software "Zoom Browser Express." So much more flexible than PS Elements.
I improved my 10k time by 4 minutes and with elevation. My knees are tweaked, so I took it easy. If I get my quads/glutes fixed so my knees don't suffer, I might be able to get even faster. :)

Another improved Vance and most likely the last modification I do to him. Partly made using stickers bought on eBay.
I don't mind you using my ideas, though I would be grateful if you gave me credit, as I've spent some time getting the correct parts. Thanks for looking!
My new and improved desk! I have a plant now, and the mug has popsicle sticks in it with children's names on them. This allows me to randomly pick a student without the others feeling slighted. The little makeshift bookcase on top of my file cabinet is from a wooden crate I found filled with old bags and stuff. I cleaned it out and now I can keep my teaching resources there!
After many years of no construction and not so many years of construction the new intersection of Main Street and Mass. Ave. is done. It's annoying to get through, but in a different way than it used to be annoying to get through.
