We were travelling from Whistler, the road meandered between various mountains - rocky, sandy or covered with firs, the landscape differed so much from moscovian one :) here's a piece of my jawdropping first impressions :)
I'm playing around a little with Topaz's Impression 2 plugin for Lightroom and so far I like the results. This is an HDR image of the dock at the Whalehead club in Corolla, NC that I took back in October. I like how the water and sky seems to blend together and the shadow of the railing is centered.

ENG: Now come my last impressions from this year's summer vacation in the Allgäu. My last day with a lot of relaxation in the holiday resort Heimen. Heimen is a small dreamy place which belongs to the district Hopferau, not far from Füssen and the border to Austria. The view of the Alps from here was simply breathtakingly beautiful and still makes me reminisce today.
GER: Nun kommen meine letzten Impressionen vom diesjährigen Sommerurlaub im Allgäu. Mein letzter Tag mit viel Entspannung im Urlaubsort Heimen. Heimen ist ein kleiner verträumter Ort der zum Kreis Hopferau gehört, ganz unweit von Füssen und der Grenze zu Österreich. Der Alpen Blick von hier aus war einfach atemberaubend schön und lässt mich heute noch von zehren.

Rijeka, de derde grootste stad van Kroatië, is een stad die haar wisselende geschiedenis duidelijk toont. Ooit deel van het Oostenrijks-Hongaarse keizerrijk, is Rijeka een strategisch haven- en industriecentrum geweest. Tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog werd de stad zwaar getroffen, wat leidde tot verarming en vernieling. In de jaren daarna was er sprake van een plan om het historische centrum te vervangen door moderne wolkenkrabbers. Dankzij het werk van architect Igor Emili, die voorstelde om het historische centrum te behouden en te herbeleven, is het beeld van Rijeka vandaag de dag een mix van oude gevels en nieuw leven. In 2020 was Rijeka zelfs nog de culturele hoofdstad van Europa

Rijeka, Croatia's third-largest city, clearly reflects its varied history. Once part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Rijeka served as a strategic port and industrial center. During World War II, the city was severely damaged, leading to impoverishment and destruction. In the years that followed, there was talk of replacing the historic center with modern skyscrapers. Thanks to the work of architect Igor Emili, who proposed preserving and revitalizing the historic center, Rijeka today is a blend of old facades and new life. In 2020, Rijeka was even named the European Capital of Culture.
There was something I didn't feel was quite right about my little trip into the softer side of London - then it hit me what it was - obvious really, but then it always is when you find the answer - OM2/50/1.8/any old FILM
SOOC - apart from increasing the mid range contrast with curves - roughly the same as choosing a contrasty paper and burning the highlights a bit

The show Impression Sanjie Liu is performed at the world largest natural theater which utilizes the waters of the Li River as its stage, with twelve mist shrouded hills and the heavens as its backdrop. Mist, rain, moonlight, the hills and their inverted reflections in the river all become the ever-changing natural background. Its auditorium is housed on the natural islands of the river with the audience standing on the designed terraces, surrounded by green plants.
Shot in the rain with a Super Tacoma 50/1.4 vintage. I love the colors and the ‘fatness’ of the bokeh. This was of course shot at 1.4, hence the softness.
