Duff House in Banff … the front entrance has the double sweep of an imperial staircase, making the front beautifully symmetrical.
Now in the care of Historic Environment Scotland, it is part of the National Galleries Scotland and is a Category A listed building. It holds part of the National Portrait collection.

Impressionnant au sommet de l'Aiguille du Midi 3842m quand la tempête arrive! "Le plâtrier" est passé! Massif du Mont Blanc, vallée de Chamonix.
Impressive storm at the top of Aiguille du Midi 3842m, mountain is like plastered, french Alps, Chamonix Mont Blanc valley.
Someone is out trying to impress the ladies. He sits on the dock waiting for the fishing charters to return for the day, I am sure hoping he can get a dropping or two left over from the cleaning if the fish.
I passed this male Pheasant on the bank of a stream. He looked very striking in his Spring plumage, trying to find a mate!
I have a feeling that title has been used before :) Yes, took my fisheye on the train to Boston which gave me something to do as everything rushed past. Have to make fast decisions!
Edit: 16 mm f2.8 Nikon fisheye bought secondhand about 25 years ago and no electrical connection for camera to know what it is. I bought it not long after we married and my was impressed it paid for itself almost immediately when a photo won a competition. About the last one I won with any money attached :)

I had been very impressed with the results obtained by a Flickr friend who was using a lens extender to effectively almost double the focal length of his lens. So I invested in one for my Nikon D7000 only to find that while it fitted the camera perfectly something was definitely missing from the other end. It will have to go back. However, I'd been looking forward to taking some shots of the moon in the clear Cornish skies and after a few attempts to discover the most effective settings on the camera I decided to try my existing 300mm lens without the extension. My tripod is too flimsy to hold the camera that steady, so I hand-held it tightly against the side of the door frame and turned on the vibration reduction. Finally, I tightly cropped and slightly sharpened the image in PS Elements 10 (now rather old, but still effective).
I'll try a shot of the half moon next time so that the sun illuminates craters from the side, providing more shadow definition. I'll try a lower ISO rating too.

Really impressed with the Canon R5's ability to focus and the large file size makes large crops possible.
Impressed by how many colors, layers or structures you can observe on this glacier from Ushuaïa, Argentina.
They may be noisy, they may be messy at times, but the local feral Peafowl sure now how to impress as well.
You always see Bald Eagles sitting and watching. I wonder if they are working out the right timing to snag these fish as they come up for a breath of air?
These rather fine boy turkeys were busy showing off their finery to the hens who weren't very impressed with them. The hens were behind the boys here and concentrating on food!
They were on a working farm that I visited to see snowdrops!

Well, I've had a frustrating week. Tried the Windows 10 update (encouraged by my tech guys at work to fix some issues) and for every glitch I fixed, I had 2 more problems with this installation. I uninstalled it all, then more work began retrieving all my original settings......I'm almost back to a "clean" system but it has taken hours and hours of time to figure it all out!!
Anyone else have this problem? I wonder how many of you have tried and liked the new W10 update?!
(This is not Macey in the picture.....we met this grumpy fellow on a summer cabin trip last year. He's not exactly a people lover. :)
