All pictures must have a foreground, middle ground and background

Not flat. There is a distance into the image.

The depth is in the grass that is close to us and the little hill in the background shows us that the coyote is closer to us and that’s what shows us the depth.

2. Focal area

An area in the photo where the eye goes to first, sticks out, draws person in, main idea. Focal Area- An area that really draws the eye’s attention to that certain spot

The focal area is the coyote because he is an animal and animals especially ones we do not see on a daily basis catch our eye and draws us in.

Asymmetrical: visual weight leans to one side. Eye rests to one side.

It is easy to see that you thought about the point of view when you shoot the photo.

Benched in Georgetown, ON. September 29, 2021.

Taken with glasses sandwiched between two mirrors facing one another in my back yard. This picture was actually part of my first photography exhibit at the Thomasville Cultural Center. Taken with Sony Cybershot 7.2 Mega pix.

In this photo we can see the value difference as the sun shines on half of the plant illuminating the leaves giving it a brighter color, while the other half remains in the shadows with a bit of a darker color. Also there are implied lines formed by the tress in the background.

The triangle is seen between the arm, body, and wood.

this image shows implied lines because Ethernet lines are actually there.

Field of blue dicks in Trabuco Canyon.

This image show repetition forming an implied line, the planes in the picture are repeated forming a short v shaped line in the middle of the image. This is a small example of these elements of design.

This represents line in the form of implied line; the line of sight of the person and the line that the board creates.
