The Social Cash Transfer Programme has helped beneficiary households to pay for school feed and they can now afford to buy new uniforms for their children.
The main objective of the Social Cash Transfer (SCT) Programme is to reduce extreme poverty and the intergenerational transfer of poverty. The SCT Programme has been operating in Zambia since 2003 and is implemented by the Ministry of Community Development, Mother and Child Health (MCDMCH). Several positive impacts among beneficiary households include reduced poverty, increased food security, improved child wellbeing, improved living conditions and greater productivity and asset ownership.

Este año, la Casa del Deporte implementará un total de 19 escuelas gratuitas en Viña del Mar, con once disciplinas entre las que se encuentran como novedades el balonmano y la halterofilia.
Entre las postales que dejaron los X Juegos Suramericanos ODESUR Santiago 2014, además de la histórica cosecha de medallas que completaron un total de 129 preseas para nuestro país, se cuentan recintos repletos de público vitoreando a deportistas como si se tratasen de eliminatorias mundialistas de futbol, evidenciando el gran interés y pasión que sienten los chilenos por deportes muy distintos al balompié.
Consciente de esta atención por variadas disciplinas, es que la Ilustre Municipalidad de Viña del Mar, a través de la Casa del Deporte, hace ya casi una década, ha implementado de forma gratuita en toda la ciudad, un programa compuesto por Escuelas Deportivas, y que este año junto a las ya clásicas Tenis, taekwondo, Karate, Natación, Basquetbol, Hockey Patín, Gimnasia Rítmica, Voleibol y Rugby, trae importantes novedades, como la inclusión de dos nuevas especialidades deportivas.
El programa de Escuelas Deportivas, este 2014, da la bienvenida a su oferta al cada día más popular Balonmano o Handball, y que después de la brillante participación de las selecciones chilenas masculinas y femeninas de la disciplina, premiadas con bronce en ODESUR 2014, y que justamente jugaron en Viña del Mar, es que niños, jóvenes y adultos, pusieron sus ojos sobre esta entretenida rama deportiva.
Junto con el balonmano, la Halterofilia o Levantamiento Olímpico de Pesas, también se suma al programa Escuelas Deportivas, y consiste en el levantamiento de la mayor cantidad de peso posible en una barra en cuyos extremos se fijan varios discos, los cuales determinan el peso final que se levanta, y que reciben el nombre de “haltera”.
Orientadas a niños entre 7 y 14 años, las Escuelas Deportivas 2014, suman un total de diecinueve, y para la inscripción en cualquiera de las once disciplinas de este año, sólo hay que asistir al lugar, el día y la hora fijada para la clase, y llenar una matrícula gratuita con los datos personales del alumno, y la firma de un apoderado mayor de edad autorizando la participación del menor en el taller. In 1948, the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Over 50 years later, in a joint project with Professor Kendall Thomas, The Forsythe Company focuses on the act of inscribing basic rules for both the individual and society. «Human Writes» is a performative installation that reflects the history of human rights and the continuing obstacles to their full implementation.

21 September 2017 - UNGA - Implementation of SDGs should be country-led and country-owned.
This high level side event organized at the helm of the 72nd Session of the UN General Assembly continues to advocate the nature of the 2030 Agenda—‘country-led and country-owned,’ as reflected during the UNDG high level event during the HLPF 2017 earlier this year.
UN Deputy Secretary-General, Ms. Amina J. Mohammed in her key note remarks stated, “We have hit the SDGs walking – not yet running – and we need to pick up the pace. Progress will only be achieved through genuine and meaningful partnerships.”
Host of the event, Mr. Achim Steiner, the UNDG Chair and the Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) said, "In the SDGs we have found a common language in identifying the challenges and opportunities in development. We need new partnerships- we need investment bankers to work with rural farmers, policy makers with activists."
The side event also marked the launch of the 2016 UNDG results report: Lift Off: Agenda 2030—Shared Results of the UNDG in 2016. The new report captures the collective results and impact achieved by the UN Development System through 131 UN Country Teams supporting 165 countries and territories, as well as by the UNDG at the regional and global levels. Today was a great day at the Fab Lab. The students were asking me what I games I liked to play, and I said chess. I've been wanting to make a chess set with the laser cutter anyway.
We designed up a simple chess set that would fit 8 sets on the 24" x 12" laser cutter and cut them out. We pulled together a group to peel of the backings and to make boards.
Our first inclination was to use the chess piece negatives as a board stencil. The idea was to tape them off and spray paint, but we ran out of spray paint and so used markers. In practice we decided to go checker board.
The lessons went into darkness, and the students were using LED lights to keep playing.

La Asamblea Nacional completó, en esta semana, la aprobación de las cuatro universidades consideradas emblemáticas: Nacional de Educación (UNAE); Regional Amazónica (IKIAM); de las Artes (UNIARTES); y la de Investigación de Tecnología Experimental (YACHAY), las cuales apuestan por la transformación de la educación superior y, como tal, el cambio de la matriz cultural hacia una educación de excelencia y formación altamente profesional del talento humano.
Tendrán una directa vinculación con la comunidad, para, en unidad de esfuerzos, contribuir a la actividad productiva del país, a fin de avanzar a la nueva sociedad que garantice un futuro mejor y más próspero para todas y todos los ecuatorianos, esto es, el Buen Vivir. Son miradas, no como simples universidades, sino como oportunidades de vida y una estrategia de desarrollo nacional.
Su implementación se ajusta a la norma constitucional, la Ley Orgánica de Educación Superior (LOES). Contarán con bibliotecas, hemerotecas, videotecas y más recursos técnicos pedagógicos que permitan un eficiente aprendizaje; la propiedad de los bienes y valores que les permita funcionar en un espacio físico adecuado a su naturaleza educativa y de investigación.
Justamente, la Constitución determina que el sistema de educación superior tiene como finalidad la formación académica y profesional con visión científica y humanista, promoviendo la investigación científica y tecnológica, la innovación, promoción, desarrollo y difusión de los saberes y las culturas.
La Universidad Regional Amazónica (IKIAM), cuya matriz estará en la ciudad de Tena y beneficiará a más de 10 mil jóvenes bachilleres amazónicos, se dedicará a la investigación de nuestra mayor riqueza nacional: el patrimonio biogenético de la Amazonía. Tiene como propósito generar conocimiento, investigación e información que facilitará desarrollar alternativas tecnológicas para llegar a un uso racional y responsable de los recursos naturales de la zona, potenciando el talento humano del país y la conservación de la naturaleza.
Generará una oferta académica y actividades investigativas que procure armonizar la explotación de recursos naturales no renovables: minas y petróleos, con procesos amigables con el ambiente, que reduzcan los impactos que estas actividades puedan impulsar.
La Universidad de Investigación de Tecnología Experimental (YACHAY), tendrá como objetivo la investigación de nuevas tecnologías, la generación y difusión del conocimiento científico. Tiene como visión ser la institución líder, a nivel nacional y regional, que contribuya a que la economía del Ecuador; se fundamente en la generación de conocimiento, aportando al progreso y avance científico y tecnológico de la región, así como al mejoramiento de las condiciones de vida de la población del Ecuador y de América Latina. Su sede estará en la provincia de Imbabura, cantón Urcuquí
Formará parte de la Ciudad del Conocimiento, que implica la construcción de un espacio urbano en el que se hallan empresas implicadas en el sector terciario avanzado, con una vocación de alta productividad ligada a cadenas regionales o globales de producción de valor, institutos y centros de investigación vinculados con redes de conocimiento internacionales que intercambien experiencias con el exterior y con el resto de la sociedad ecuatoriana.
La Universidad de las Artes (UNIARTES), una institución sin fines de lucro, tendrá su sede en Guayaquil y podrá contar con sedes, extensiones, unidades académicas, programas y carreras que sean aprobadas de conformidad con lo establecido en la Ley de Educación Superior. Posicionará interna e internacionalmente las culturas y las artes, promoverá la construcción de diálogos, identidades y producción artística intercultural; formará profesionales de alta calidad comprometidos con los objetivos del Plan Nacional del Buen Vivir; liderará la construcción de un Sistema Integral de Formación Artística e influenciará en el cambio de matriz productiva al impulsar las industrias culturales.
La Universidad Nacional de Educación (UNAE), que se edificará en la provincia de Cañar, liderará los procesos de educación continua e implementará programas de posgrado que eleven las capacidades y destrezas del personal académico que labora en el magisterio nacional, para incidir positivamente en el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje, en los distintos niveles de la educación. Tiene como objetivo cubrir la demanda de aproximadamente 160.000 docentes que requerirá el sistema público en el transcurso de la próxima década. Pretende ser un referente en cuanto a la calidad, de modo que todas las facultades de Educación y Filosofía puedan trabajar con estándares comunes e internacionales.
Mr. Maged A. Abdelaziz, United Nations Under Secretary-General and Special Adviser on Africa addressed a critical necessity for taking action-- funding. He suggested looking more into more South-South partnerships with countries in other regions which have seen social and economic growth as part of 15-years of MDGs implementation. He stressed the crucial need for funding to meet capacity gaps, especially to track data and monitor impact for transparency.

A subsoiler or mole plough is a tractor mounted implement used to loosen and break up soil at depths below the level of a traditional disk harrow or rototiller. Most tractor mounted cultivation tools will break up and turn over surface soil to a depth of 6" to 8" while a subsoiler will break up and loosen soil to twice those depths, in this instance to about 24". Typically a subsoiler mounted to a Crawler or Tractor will reach depths of about 12" and typically have only one thin blade with a sharpened tip or torpedo like the one seen here.
The subsoiler is a tillage tool which will improve growth in all crops where soil compaction is a problem. The design provides deep tillage, loosening soil deeper than a tiller or plough is capable of reaching.

Spa gardens Oberlaa
The spa gardens Oberlaa is a park in the 10th district of Vienna Favoriten, on the southeast slope of the Laa mountain at Oberlaa. Its area is 860,000 square meters.
Horticulture monuments, path systems and artificial soil formations are listed buildings.
History
WIG 74 in the year of the opening

After the great success with the "Vienna International Garden Show 1964" (WIG 64) in the Danube Park in the 22nd district of Vienna (Danube City), the Vienna city council wanted another carrying out of an international horticultural show in Vienna. The former brick area on the southeastern slope of Laa Hill, which had also served as the location of monumental films of the silent era, was rounded off by buying gardening grounds and vineyards. It proved to be an ideal location for the project and the associated construction of a large green area. Already since 1969 there is a spa operation at the Oberlaa sulfur springs. After a competition that was tendered internationally and the Frankfurt landscape architect Erich Hanke 1969 could win, were formed working groups of landscape architects from different states. When planning and implementing the best designs of all projects were combined.
The "Vienna International Garden Show 1974" (WIG 74) became with 2.6 million visitors like its predecessor in the Danube Park a great success with the public. The press coverage but was partially extremely critical. A circulating in the park monorail proved to be a bad investment and had to be dismantled after a few years, an adjacent to it amusement park was from the beginning on loss-making. The rest of the park furniture proved, as in the case of the Danube Park, to have only a limited durability. In late 1974, the area of the garden show was eventually converted into a public park which receives wide acclaim. Other international horticultural shows, however, were not organized in Vienna, and the trend of the following years went rather away from the maintenance (and cost) intense show green toward the nature-oriented design, such as in the zone of recreational area Wienerberg.

The spa gardens Oberlaa is divided into various subject areas to offer visitors a variety of recreational facilities.
Allergy garden
On an "Allergy Info Mile" one can learn on the display boards mounted in front of the respective plants the different pollen flights, the distribution spaces and other botanical information.
Baroque fountain garden
This fountain garden is actually the former "German Garden of Nations", it was reactivated 2001/2002 and equipped with many partly historical fountains, a brook, perennial beds and opportunities for seating.
Flower Labyrinth
The in diameter 18 m large flower maze was created in 2004. It was modeled after that one at Hellbrunn Palace (Salzburg), however, offers only one way and does not allow decision possibilities. In Vienna, there are still similar facilities, such as a maze in the park of Schönbrunn Palace and the butterfly maze in Florarium.
Film City
In the Film City were in 1920s well known silent films of the film studio Sascha-Film shot, including the epic film Sodom and Gomorrah and the Sklavenkönigin (queen of slaves). In summer, every year these productions are staged in an open-air cinema in the spa gardens.

Japanese Garden
The Takasakipark was the Japanese National contribution on the occasion of the TIG 1974. It was laid out by architect Kunsaku Nakame. After the TIG many National contributions were removed, however, the city of Takasaki campaigned for reconstituting of this contribution and in the 1990s it was reconstructed under the direction of architect Tadashi Ikeda.

The Garden of Love was also built on the occasion of the TIG and equipped with romantic benches, swings and arbors. All originally used metals were painted in 2001 and the garden was equipped with only white flowering summer flowers, perennials, roses and shrubs. Many wedding couples have photographed themselves here.
The Skateland
In the vicinity of the playground, the beach volleyball court and the giant swing, was built an 1800-square-meter skate area. Originally, during the TIG in 1974 and in subsequent years, this area was known as the "Moon playground".

Perennial garden
The perennial garden was first built for the TIG in 1974 and refurbished in 2000. Now you can find there more than 11,500 plants from 90 different genera.

Playground
The vast playground, inter alia, offers the ability to operate a sand digger, to drive with a child car, to roll over and over in a net, to drive over inclined bridges and to slide yourself. It was opened in 2001 as the first barrier-free playground for also offer disabled children the opportunity to be able to play like everyone else.
Petting zoo
The 2,000 m² large petting zoo is home to goats, sheep, geese, chickens, peacocks and numerous pigeons in the dovecote. Over a low fence also small children touching and petting the animals is possible.

AU Ministerial Retreat of the Executive Council Brainstorms on the Implementation of Agenda 2063
Mekelle– Ethiopia, 24th January 2016: Members of African Union (AU) Executive Council converged in the Tigray region of Mekelle, on 24 January 2016, within the framework of their third Ministerial Retreat, holding under the theme: “Implementation of Agenda 2063”. The Ministerial Retreat was chaired by Hon. Simbarashe S. Mumbengegwi, Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Zimbabwe and Chairperson of the Executive Council, in the presence of H.E. Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, Chairperson of the African Union Commissioners, H.E Mr. Erastus Mwencha, Deputy Chairperson of the AUC. Hon. Dr Tedros Adhenon Ghebreyesus, Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, H.E Abay Weldu, President of the Regional Authority of Tigray, representatives from AU Organs, the UNECA, NEPAD, RECs AfDB, AU Commissioners , the AUC Secretary General, and the Legal Counsel of the AUC, and invited guests.
President Weldu welcomed the participants in the city of Mekelle and presented the historical background of the region which he qualified as courageous and privileged population who inherited the most archeological objects and sites of humanity. He said the agenda of this retreat has a significant meaning to the Tigray tribe/people of Ethiopia. He appreciated the vision of the Union aimed at creatiing an integrated, prosperous and peaceful Africa”.
In her opening remarks, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, AUC Chairperson, recalled the first retreat in the city of Ethiopia Bahir Dar in 2014, where she introduced the Dream of the African People in “the e-mail from the future”, among others. “Two years ago, as we concluded the 50th anniversary of the OAU/AU, we met as in retreat in the city of Bahir Dar, to discuss the core responsibilities of this important organ, the Executive Council. It was then when I spoke about our dream of the Africa we want, in the e-mail from the future.
Two years later, as we gather here in Mekelle, Tigray region we can report that we have made some headway. As discussed at this retreat, we now have Agenda 2063 as our clarion call for action, supported by all sections of the African society”, stated the AUC Chairperson. She explained that, “we are now clear on the priorities of Agenda 2063, investing in our people, especially youth and women; in agricultural modernization and agro-businesses; in manufacturing and industrialization; the development of our infrastructure; democracy and developmental governance, as well as the need of silencing the guns by 2020.”
“Our Agenda 2063 flagship projects - such as the free movement of people, the Commodities strategy, the Pan African Integrated High speed Rail network - is taking off, and should help towards our vision of an integrated, peaceful and prosperous Africa, driven by its own people and taking its rightful place in the world”, underscored Dr. Dlamini Zuma.
Referring to the song on Agenda 2063 composed by a group of artists from Zimbabwe, played during the opening ceremony of the retreat, the AUC Chairperson called on other artists within the continent to emulate the good example. “ I would like to thank the Zimbabwean artists who came up with that song on Agenda 2063, and I challenge all of us to encourage our artists to compose as many songs as possible. Of course as the Chair of the Union, Zimbabwe led from the front”. She thanks the Mekelle authorities for hosting the AU Ministerial retreat and wished the Ministers fruitful deliberation. The Chairperson of the Executive Council on his part, recalled the high moments and priorities on Agenda 2063 saying “our Agenda is centred in the review of implementation of decisions taken during the 2nd Ministerial retreat and update on the implementation of the 1st ten year plan of Agenda 2063, the free movement of goods and persons, the issue of Immigration and tourism and wild life preservation”. Minister Mumbengegwi stressed that “as we continue streamlining and improving the working methods of our Union, we also need to consider how best we can align our bi-annual Summits in order to improve the effectiveness of our organisation and to give ourselves ample time to implement our decisions”. He expressed satisfaction to the fact that notable success has already been achieved in this vein, hence the need to proffering new and innovative ideas that will take the organisation to greater heights. Speaking earlier, Hon. Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus, stressed on the importance of holding the ministerial retreat which he said will enhance friendly and convivial relationship between the ministers. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia said such gathering will enable the participants to express themselves freely while socialising with one another. He called on his pars saying, “We have a number of important issues to deliver including exchanging views and best practices on how to domesticate and enhance the implementation of agenda 2063 and its flagship projects.
Organized by the African Union Commission (AUC), the third Ministerial Retreat aims at brainstorming and exchanging ideas on critical issues related to the implementation of the Africa Agenda 2063 so as to give clear direction and guidelines on devising best ways and means for its domestication to help improve the living conditions of the African citizens.
The Ministers will among other things consider AU Commission Restructuring Project, the free movement of people, African tourism, wild life conservation, and state of the African tourism sector and its opportunities and challenges.
At the end of its deliberations, the Ministerial Retreat will adopt the Mekelle Ministerial Retreat draft Outcomes document to be tabled during the Executive Council meeting scheduled to hold on 27 and 27 January 2016 for adoption. The AU Ministerial Retreat ends on Tuesday 26th January 2016.

An older guy who pulled up to me here said he ran a scrap metal business at the site but operates as an LLC so that he wouldn't be on the hook if the stack collapses. It's loosing bricks here and there but I've seen worse.
(Odd thing: Why would you put your company name twice on the same side of the stack? Maybe once each on opposite sides, so everyone could see it, but why on the same side?)

The architectural history of the Palais

"It is my will that the expansion of the inner city of Vienna with regard to a suitable connection of the same with the suburbs as soon as possible is tackled and at this on Regulirung (regulation) and beautifying of my Residence and Imperial Capital is taken into account. To this end I grant the withdrawal of the ramparts and fortifications of the inner city and the trenches around the same".
This decree of Emperor Franz Joseph I, published on 25 December 1857 in the Wiener Zeitung, formed the basis for the largest the surface concerning and architecturally most significant transformation of the Viennese cityscape. Involving several renowned domestic and foreign architects a "master plan" took form, which included the construction of a boulevard instead of the ramparts between the inner city and its radially upstream suburbs. In the 50-years during implementation phase, an impressive architectural ensemble developed, consisting of imperial and private representational buildings, public administration and cultural buildings, churches and barracks, marking the era under the term "ring-street style". Already in the first year tithe decided a senior member of the Austrian imperial family to decorate the facades of his palace according to the new design principles, and thus certified the aristocratic claim that this also "historicism" said style on the part of the imperial house was attributed.

It was the palace of Archduke Albrecht (1817-1895), the Senior of the Habsburg Family Council, who as Field Marshal held the overall command over the Austro-Hungarian army. The building was incorporated into the imperial residence of the Hofburg complex, forming the south-west corner and extending eleven meters above street level on the so-called Augustinerbastei.
The close proximity of the palace to the imperial residence corresponded not only with Emperor Franz Joseph I and Archduke Albert with a close familial relationship between the owner of the palace and the monarch. Even the former inhabitants were always in close relationship to the imperial family, whether by birth or marriage. An exception here again proves the rule: Don Emanuel Teles da Silva Conde Tarouca (1696-1771), for which Maria Theresa in 1744 the palace had built, was just a close friend and advisor of the monarch. Silva Tarouca underpins the rule with a second exception, because he belonged to the administrative services as Generalhofbaudirektor (general court architect) and President of the Austrian-Dutch administration, while all other him subsequent owners were highest ranking military.
In the annals of Austrian history, especially those of military history, they either went into as commander of the Imperial Army, or the Austrian, later kk Army. In chronological order, this applies to Duke Carl Alexander of Lorraine, the brother-of-law of Maria Theresa, as Imperial Marshal, her son-in-law Duke Albert of Saxe-Teschen, also field marshal, whos adopted son, Archduke Charles of Austria, the last imperial field marshal and only Generalissimo of Austria, his son Archduke Albrecht of Austria as Feldmarschalil and army Supreme commander, and most recently his nephew Archduke Friedrich of Austria, who held as field marshal from 1914 to 1916 the command of the Austro-Hungarian troops. Despite their military profession, all five generals conceived themselves as patrons of the arts and promoted large sums of money to build large collections, the construction of magnificent buildings and cultural life. Charles Alexander of Lorraine promoted as governor of the Austrian Netherlands from 1741 to 1780 the Academy of Fine Arts, the Théâtre de Ja Monnaie and the companies Bourgeois Concert and Concert Noble, he founded the Academie royale et imperial des Sciences et des Lettres, opened the Bibliotheque Royal for the population and supported artistic talents with high scholarships. World fame got his porcelain collection, which however had to be sold by Emperor Joseph II to pay off his debts. Duke Albert began in 1776 according to the concept of conte Durazzo to set up an encyclopedic collection of prints, which forms the core of the world-famous "Albertina" today.

1816 declared to Fideikommiss and thus in future indivisible, inalienable and inseparable, the collection 1822 passed into the possession of Archduke Carl, who, like his descendants, it broadened. Under him, the collection was introduced together with the sumptuously equipped palace on the Augustinerbastei in the so-called "Carl Ludwig'schen fideicommissum in 1826, by which the building and the in it kept collection fused into an indissoluble unity. At this time had from the Palais Tarouca by structural expansion or acquisition a veritable Residenz palace evolved. Duke Albert of Saxe-Teschen was first in 1800 the third floor of the adjacent Augustinian convent wing adapted to house his collection and he had after 1802 by his Belgian architect Louis de Montoyer at the suburban side built a magnificent extension, called the wing of staterooms, it was equipped in the style of Louis XVI. Only two decades later, Archduke Carl the entire palace newly set up. According to scetches of the architect Joseph Kornhäusel the 1822-1825 retreaded premises presented themselves in the Empire style. The interior of the palace testified from now in an impressive way the high rank and the prominent position of its owner. Under Archduke Albrecht the outer appearance also should meet the requirements. He had the facade of the palace in the style of historicism orchestrated and added to the Palais front against the suburbs an offshore covered access. Inside, he limited himself, apart from the redesign of the Rococo room in the manner of the second Blondel style, to the retention of the paternal stock. Archduke Friedrich's plans for an expansion of the palace were omitted, however, because of the outbreak of the First World War so that his contribution to the state rooms, especially, consists in the layout of the Spanish apartment, which he in 1895 for his sister, the Queen of Spain Maria Christina, had set up as a permanent residence.

The era of stately representation with handing down their cultural values found its most obvious visualization inside the palace through the design and features of the staterooms. On one hand, by the use of the finest materials and the purchase of masterfully manufactured pieces of equipment, such as on the other hand by the permanent reuse of older equipment parts. This period lasted until 1919, when Archduke Friedrich was expropriated by the newly founded Republic of Austria. With the republicanization of the collection and the building first of all finished the tradition that the owner's name was synonymous with the building name:
After Palais Tarouca or tarokkisches house it was called Lorraine House, afterwards Duke Albert Palais and Palais Archduke Carl. Due to the new construction of an adjacently located administration building it received in 1865 the prefix "Upper" and was referred to as Upper Palais Archduke Albrecht and Upper Palais Archduke Frederick. For the state a special reference to the Habsburg past was certainly politically no longer opportune, which is why was decided to name the building according to the in it kept collection "Albertina".

This name derives from the term "La Collection Albertina" which had been used by the gallery Inspector Maurice von Thausing in 1870 in the Gazette des Beaux-Arts for the former graphics collection of Duke Albert. For this reason, it was the first time since the foundation of the palace that the name of the collection had become synonymous with the room shell. Room shell, hence, because the Republic of Austria Archduke Friedrich had allowed to take along all the movable goods from the palace in his Hungarian exile: crystal chandeliers, curtains and carpets as well as sculptures, vases and clocks. Particularly stressed should be the exquisite furniture, which stems of three facilities phases: the Louis XVI furnitures of Duke Albert, which had been manufactured on the basis of fraternal relations between his wife Archduchess Marie Christine and the French Queen Marie Antoinette after 1780 in the French Hofmanufakturen, also the on behalf of Archduke Charles 1822-1825 in the Vienna Porcelain Manufactory by Joseph Danhauser produced Empire furnitures and thirdly additions of the same style of Archduke Friedrich, which this about 1900 at Portois & Ffix as well as at Friedrich Otto Schmidt had commissioned.
The "swept clean" building got due to the strained financial situation after the First World War initially only a makeshift facility. However, since until 1999 no revision of the emergency equipment took place, but differently designed, primarily the utilitarianism committed office furnitures complementarily had been added, the equipment of the former state rooms presented itself at the end of the 20th century as an inhomogeneous administrative mingle-mangle of insignificant parts, where, however, dwelt a certain quaint charm. From the magnificent state rooms had evolved depots, storage rooms, a library, a study hall and several officed.

This paradigm shift corresponded to a blatant reversal of the historical circumstances, as the travel guides and travel books for kk Residence and imperial capital of Vienna dedicated itself primarily with the magnificent, aristocratic palace on the Augustinerbastei with the sumptuously fitted out reception rooms and mentioned the collection kept there - if at all - only in passing. The smoothed palace facades were returned to their original condition and present themselves today - with the exception of the not anymore reconstructed Attica figures - again with the historicist decoration and layout elements that Archduke Albrecht had given after the razing of the Augustinerbastei in 1865 in order. The neoclassical interiors, today called after the former inhabitants "Habsburg Staterooms", receiving a meticulous and detailed restoration taking place at the premises of originality and authenticity, got back their venerable and sumptuous appearance. From the world wide scattered historical pieces of equipment have been bought back 70 properties or could be returned through permanent loan to its original location, by which to the visitors is made experiencable again that atmosphere in 1919 the state rooms of the last Habsburg owner Archduke Frederick had owned. The for the first time in 80 years public accessible "Habsburg State Rooms" at the Palais Albertina enable now again as eloquent testimony to our Habsburg past and as a unique cultural heritage fundamental and essential insights into the Austrian cultural history. With the relocation of the main entrance to the level of the Augustinerbastei the recollection to this so valuable Austrian Cultural Heritage formally and functionally came to completion. The vision of the restoration and recovery of the grand palace was a pillar on which the new Albertina should arise again, the other embody the four large newly built exhibition halls, which allow for the first time in the history of the Albertina, to exhibit the collection throughout its encyclopedic breadh under optimal conservation conditions.

The palace presents itself now in its appearance in the historicist style of the Ringstrassenära, almost as if nothing had happened in the meantime. But will the wheel of time should not, cannot and must not be turned back, so that the double standards of the "Albertina Palace" said museum - on the one hand Habsburg grandeur palaces and other modern museum for the arts of graphics - should be symbolized by a modern character: The in 2003 by Hans Hollein designed far into the Albertina square cantilevering, elegant floating flying roof. 64 meters long, it symbolizes in the form of a dynamic wedge the accelerated urban spatial connectivity and public access to the palace. HERMOSILLO, SONORA, OCTUBRE 28 DE 2013.- Con los acuerdos de continuar con las estrategias para mantener a Sonora como un Estado seguro y continuar con el empoderamiento ciudadano en torno a ese tema, el Gobernador Guillermo Padrés encabezó la Décimo Quinta Sesión Ordinaria del Consejo Estatal de Seguridad Pública.
El mandatario recalcó los beneficios del esquema implementado en Sonora con el Comité Ciudadano de Seguridad, que permite que sea la gente la responsable de tomar decisiones tan importantes como proponer al Secretario de Seguridad y al Procurador, así como decidir las estrategias y acciones en este tema.
“Hemos marcado una diferencia en la que le damos a los ciudadanos el lugar que se merecen para ver los temas de seguridad. Políticos van, políticos vienen, pero los ciudadanos se quedan y son ellos quienes deben de manejar las políticas a largo plazo en el tema de seguridad”, señaló.
El Gobernador recomendó a los presidentes municipales a replicar este modelo en los municipios para que los ciudadanos trabajen de la mano con los ayuntamientos por la seguridad de todos.
Gracias al esfuerzo coordinado entre Estado, municipios y Federación, comentó, Sonora se mantiene como la entidad más segura de la frontera y una de las ocho con menor percepción en los índices de inseguridad de acuerdo a estadísticas de INEGI.
Padrés se mostró de acuerdo con la petición del Presidente Enrique Peña Nieto, de que sean los gobernadores de los estados los que encabecen las reuniones de seguridad, algo que ya se hace en Sonora y exhortó a los presidentes municipales a hacer lo propio en sus municipios.
Entre los temas que se trataron en la reunión, destacó el que se refiere a los vehículos de procedencia ilegal pues, de acuerdo a las estadísticas, la mayoría de los ilícitos en Sonora son cometidos a bordo de un auto ilegal.

Acuerdos aprobados en la sesión:
· Compromiso de los presidentes municipales de los quince municipios más poblados de Sonora a convocar y presidir reuniones periódicas de los consejos municipales de seguridad pública a las que puede asistir el Gobernador del Estado y autoridades del ramo.
· Estatutos de organización de las comisiones del Consejo Estatal de Seguridad Pública del Estado.
· Autorización para reprogramar los recursos del Fondo de Aportaciones de Seguridad Pública por 9 millones 137 mil 799 pesos.
Finalmente, el Gobernador del Estado reiteró la voluntad del estado de Aguascalientes, de mantener la colaboración estrecha con la federación, para promover una democracia de calidad y más participativa, asumiendo un claro compromiso es de hacer lo que se dice y decir lo que se hace aplicando total transparencia para gobernar y apertura de la administración pública a la sociedad.

Today was a great day at the Fab Lab. The students were asking me what I games I liked to play, and I said chess. I've been wanting to make a chess set with the laser cutter anyway.
We designed up a simple chess set that would fit 8 sets on the 24" x 12" laser cutter and cut them out. We pulled together a group to peel of the backings and to make boards.
Our first inclination was to use the chess piece negatives as a board stencil. The idea was to tape them off and spray paint, but we ran out of spray paint and so used markers. In practice we decided to go checker board.
The lessons went into darkness, and the students were using LED lights to keep playing.

Vijay 'Member' Banjara helps take care of goats at home, he attends a government run primary and upper school which is implementing a Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) method of teaching, in Baladehra, district Alwar in Rajastan. State Government and UNICEF started a pilot project in 60 schools in Alwar and Jaipur. These pilot schools were trained in Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) - a teaching and assessment approach to make the classroom-learning environment more child-friendly and accountable to students and parents. Too many children in India attend school, but have not actually learned enough. A study found that more than 50% of children between the ages of 6 and 11 could not read text meant for a 5 year old. Some children drop out of school because the quality of their education is so poor. UNICEF is working with the State Government of Rajasthan to expand the model pilot from an initial 60 CCE schools, to 3000 schools in 2012/13, and 5000 schools in 2013/14. Antwerp-based street artist DZIA
The Belgian muralist has been busy adding fauna flair to walls in an increasingly widening swath across the globe. Recent projects have taken him to China, Norway, and Spain. Dzia, who is classically trained with a masters in fine art at the Royal Academy in Antwerp, primarily depicts wild animals — foxes and birds seem to be recurring favorites. His unique style creates a mosaic of colors following the contours of the animal’s form. In his more recent work, Dzia has begun to add tonal shading within each defined area, adding a sense of volume to the well-defined figures. His work reincorporates animals into an urban environment, rendering them in bold, geometric lines.

“From a young age art has always been a great interest to me. My uncle was an artist and my whole family have always been very creative. This passion carried me through my younger years until I eventually went on to study a masters in fine art at the Royal Academy in Antwerp.
After I graduated I really wanted place my artwork onto walls. I focused on creating a truly unique graphic style, using abstract and geometric lines to implement into animalistic forms. I’ve been painting on walls for around two and half years now.

Israel Military Implements Gaza War, Phase1 of Iran Nuclear Attack Plan

It is no news that the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been preparing the world for an attack against Iran all year, as illustrated by the PM's September visit and speech at the UN (Netanyahu Warns of Attack on Iran).
In a continuation of the propaganda war, Channel 4 recently aired a fly on the wall documentary into the suggested thought processes that the Israeli Government, Military and Intelligence agencies were going through during September 2012 as they war gamed the consequences of a unilateral attack against Iran's air defence, missile and nuclear infrastructure, and how the aftermath could play out in terms of world reaction and Iranian military response.
Whilst the programme reeked of propaganda for the camera's towards justification for an attack against Iran, as those involved were clearly attempting to talk the wider world into believing that the consequences of an attack against Iran would be contained i.e. that Iranian retaliation would be limited due to fears of drawing the US into the conflict.
However, one of the consequences that the Israeli war gamers could not mask in the aftermath of an attack on Iran would be the thousands of rockets and longer range missile attacks from Iranian proxies in Gaza and Lebanon who's numbers were more than capable of overcoming Israel's missile defence shield that could perhaps deal with upto 200 rockets per day rather than the prospects for peak attacks of probably over 2000 per day that would be in addition to any remaining Iranian longer range missiles that Israel hoped to degrade during the initial air war.
Therefore clearly at the forefront of the Israeli military planning for an attack against Iran has been towards engineering an scenario that would allow Israel to degrade the longer range rockets that could be fired out of both Gaza and Lebanon that would allow Israel's missile defences to be better able to deal with he aftermath of an air war against iranian military and nuclear infrastructure as it would take significant military capability for Iran to retaliate off the military map, as well as improving the probability of earlier US Military intervention in an air war against Iran, by allowing a scenario to unfold that would draw the US into the region under guise of being at the defence of Israel.
