During the Great Jedi Purge in 18 BBY, Republic vehicles were recolored to be integrated seamlessly into the new Imperial Army. Even the most famous vehicle, the AT-RT, was not spared.

Imagine my surprise to see these Storm Troopers as I headed into my local Target store! They were larger than life-sized decals on the inside of the doors. Luckily when the doors parted they sort of disappeared.

Across Palace Square stands the classical yellow and white building of the former Imperial Army General Staff (built between 1819 and 1829). Earlier this year I had the unique opportunity to attend a private party at the D-Day Museum in New Orleans.

At first, you might wonder what the heck the D-Day Museum is doing in NOLA. Once you learn that the famous Landing Craft Vehicles and Personnel (LCVP) or "Higgins Boat" were invented and manufactured in New Orleans, it all starts to make sense.

The layout of this museum includes a "Pacific Theater" and "European Theater" of operations. Both have excellent examples of the equipment, weapons and flags from each country's military.

The museum is worth visiting if you are history buff or just want to get out of the heat of the day for a couple hours. The artifacts in this place are amazing!

Weir was an Imperial general during the Galactic Civil War.

A sadistic warrior who conducted his own torturous interrogations, Weir was given command of an Imperial outpost on Tralus and a force of hundreds of stormtroopers before the Battle of Endor.

Following the death of Emperor Palpatine in 4 ABY, Weir started his counter-Rebellion movement to disrupt the Rebel Alliance.

Two weeks after the Battle of Endor, Weir launched an attack against an unarmed Coronet City to demonstrate Imperial control over the Corellian system.

His attack was disrupted by Luke Skywalker and a handful of Rogue Squadron pilots, but Weir captured Ten Numb before fleeing to his Tralus base.

Weir tortured and killed Numb during interrogation but was himself captured and arrested by Wedge Antilles before he could provide any information to Imperial High Command.

Soldiers from an unidentified regiment pose with supply troops around a supply vehicle. The majority of men are casually attired in the M1915 Feldbluse and puttees.

The fellow on the left is a kraftfahrer, belonging to a motor transport troop, whose entire uniform was constructed from black calfskin.

This old comic was lying around my mom and dad's house a couple of years ago. I had to do something with my vacation so I decided why not make a lego replica of the iconic "chicken walkers" featured in the final scenes in "The Return of the Jedi". I built it using the Technic Lego bricks I got when I was 11 - and some rubber bands to make the legs flexible enough so I could balance the weight of the cockpit. I found the construction again yesterday when I was visiting my parents, then decided to take some photos of it before someone decides to dismantle it. Then stood it on a table, shut the lights and got a spotlight for the shots. Thought about adding some stars in the background. Here are the results so far anyway. I've seen some expensive official Lego versions of this on the internet. They're cool, but it's all right to make one's own interpretation too. Maybe it's time to revert back to being a Lego geek.

Storm commandos were the Special forces of the Imperial Stormtrooper Corps. One task for storm commandos was to instigate uprisings on enemy systems or to subdue insurrections on Imperial-held worlds. They also served as second-wave attackers on the battlefield, tasked with holding territory won by the first wave.

i have wanted one for so long. it was bound to happen eventually.

and let it be said that i'm extremely proud of my darth bokeh. :D

More than 20,000 of these plywood and aluminum boats were built during WWII. They had a very shallow draft and could make a respectible 9 knots carrying 30+ people.

According to Dwight Eisenhower, "Andrew Higgins ... is the man who won the war for us. ... If Higgins had not designed and built those LCVPs, we never could have landed over an open beach. The whole strategy of the war would have been different."

The storm trooper got a redesign in 2012 in set 9489 but the figure that needed it most, the scout trooper didn't. This was a really quick photoshop I did adding leg printing and and printing to the helmet to make the figure more screen accurate.

# #warhammer40k #imperialarmy #light #theemperorprotects #sketch #fanart #jsochart

The Shock Trooper is the Galactic Empires unit built for heavy damage towards tanks, turrets, and other objects with large amounts of health. They don't require very good aim, which is good, considering the shot they have is not very precise and your target is almost always moving.

Decimated Imperial Army

With their army all but decimated, depleted and destroyed while most the men are dead or injured a single Scout Trooper continues the assault with the cover of a damaged speederbike and demolished AT-ST but to no avail...

This details the experimentation and torture done by Unit 731 of the Japanese Imperial Army in northeast China. Interesting but very disturbing.
