The human body seen at a distance was a special fascination for glitches made from my photos, a kind of sign in space that could be reduced to patterned or glitch elements and still retain a presence, a personality, and even a sense of narrative. Tight cropping followed by FFT (image as audio) and interrupted sorting with color shifting produce an abstract image.

This is a version of the dunnock reconstructed from only 10% of it's pixels. I did this using adaptive normalised convolution.

FFT processing corrodes an image until it's mostly not there. A calligraphic maze of lines at the resoltuion of the FFT remains.
