From the Glitch Nation series: paulhertz.net/works/glitchez.html. I developed a suite of about 50 images from a body scanner image found on the internet. Some of the images also figure in the Aviones series (vimeo.com/104763463), referring to contemporary travel, anxiety over terrorism, and surveillance.

A glitched image of an iris covered with uniformly distributed white dots of equal size. A sort of denial of pleasure: won't give you iris or glitch, beauty or hipness. So it goes.

From the Glitch Bodies series: paulhertz.net/works/figurez.html, and also from the (unpublished) series Dubois Diner, some 50 images that are variations of a single photograph of a diner. This detail from one of the variations reveals the intricate blocky artifacts of multiple passes of JPEG compression combined with subsequent interrupted sorting with color shifting and quantization.
